Is Hughton more likely to put Simpson or Zurab at centre half? Sounds like an obvious choice to you and me but it wouldn't suprise me if Zurab remained at right back.

Personally i think the stick he gets is over the top. OK his crossing needs work but the workrate and tempo he adds to our squad is invaluable IMO. I think it's a matter of time before he's tearing championship players apart, lets hope he finds a killer touch to go with it.

Some would argue that's our best back four. That would leave Guthrie coming in for Taylor in midfield.

Although, i understand where you are coming from, i believe our tails are up at the moment and my post wasn't due to arrogance but more confidence. I genuinely believe for this game we could put out one of a number of line up's and come out with a win.

Very unlikely but another option is: Harper Taylor Taylor Colo Enrique Smith Butt Nolan Ranger Carroll Loven This would allow Enrique and Taylor space to get forward, as well as focussing on our strengths which in my opinion is through the middle.

Someone say Geremi is ill? Piece of good news if you ask me, would be nice to see the Georgian play with Taylor moved up the pitch.

If he is out of contract in the summer, we would be stupid not to snap him up on a free, considering the wages he will be on.

Just as well because it was the only one we had. Hence the word chance. If we keep getting clean sheets then one may be all we need.

In terms of getting the ball down and playing it we were way off our best but we made up for it through effort and solid tactics. Players such as Nolan, Barton and Guthrie offered very little creativity but all three put in the effort and we took our chance when it came.

Ryan Taylor should take the credit. Another great ball.

I actually think he can be a handful, didn't he score a few when the hammers got promoted? Everytime i've seen him play he always causes quite a few problems, not that i've seen him play alot like. As a loan signing, he might be a smart addition to the squad. He's no worse than Leroy Lita who alot on here would have had.

It's been a couple of days but here's mine; Harper- 7 Very little to do but one good save Raylor- 6 Didn't do alot wrong, some good set pieces Taylor- 7 Grew as the game went on Simpson- 6 Look a touch out of position but proved an option at centre half Enrique- 7.5 A couple of sloppy passes but was our best defender IMO Geremi- 5 One good attempt on goal apart from that he looked out of place Smith- 8 Took the game by the scruff of the neck and won vital headers Barton- 7 Was much better in the second half, good performance Guthrie- 6 Cracking goal but went missing on the wing at times Nolan- 7 Worked hard but missed a couple of chances Ranger- 7 Didn't win a header in the first half, never lost one in the second.

I think we might get beat, the first half will be crucial IMO and whether we can look after Chopra (assuming he's not injured).

Enrique was brilliant the other day but he did make a few stray passes. He had their right midfielder in his pocket and looked calmer on the ball than anyone else in our team.
