I agree. Hall is a great prospect but still needs time. Kelly is a top player.

If BBD doesn't go down, I doubt either even get a yellow. Best thing to do is just mock him for being an absolute greasy little weapon.

The two Brazilian lads feel a complete class above at times. Some of the stuff they do in tight spaces is insane. I also think Joelinton has become twice the footballer, from a technical perspective since Bruno arrived. It must have a massive impact when your best mate is an absolute superstar.

I didn't see the last 15. What subs did we make after Barnes and Kelly came on?
-
Longstaff deserves credit like. Put in two crunching tackles when we needed a tone setter. More of that please. We know he has limitations but when he puts a shift in he can be of good use to the squad.
-
What I find weird is that he has nobody trying to sign him. Again if you are anyone in bottom 6 clubs, he'd be as reliable player as you like and can cover 2 positions. Perhaps we just don't think he's worth selling for the money we'd get.
-
He was very poor all game. Bizarre really. I think he needs more games to get back to where he was.
-
Given that I'm not worried in the slightest about our ability to score goals, to come out of that with a clean sheet will please Eddie alot. Few things to think about though.
-
Not bothered about the red. Much more worried about him getting rinsed for pace a couple of times.
-
Alot of passes that were just short/long which I'll put down to rust.
-
Worth baring in mind that the confrontation wouldn't have happened had the ref got a grip of their fouling early on. Couldn't believe booked Hall after letting them away with 3. Loads of awful performances from us. 3 CMs have worked their arses off though.

More time for people to place bets.

Aye it's very good. Very useful options.
-
Missed this. Better.

Should put to bed any notion that Howe doesn't evolve his thinking. Playing Hall, Dropping Trippier etc. Two good and big calls. Expect Trippier to leave.
-
Possibly true. Lush beaches, green fields and clean air ain't for everyone.

I want us to play well. If we play well, we should win barring incredible bad luck. It won't be easy, because it never is. Let's be better than Man United last night. That seems achievable.
-
We shouldnt spend that money on Guehi> We should look for cheaper alternatives abroad> *asks for cheaper alternatives of the same quality It's not my job, it's up to Mitchell to identify quality targets> Mitchell identifies Guehi>
-
Man United were awful. Once again they are being lulled into a false sense of security. They will be shite again this year and probably win a trophy.
-
I'm with this. Leave the bid in, while working furiously to try and sign someone else and fucking them over. Mind, it has to be said that Guehi's agent could give Parish a phone call and say that he wants to move in no uncertain terms. Guehi might lose out on some money but then he has a choice to make.
-
Was just thinking exactly this before you said it. Pathetic was signing Vernon Anita for 6m when we had the chance to really cement our future. Offering 65m for a international CB is ballsy, foolhardy perhaps but ballsy. Anything from pathetic.
-
If we could pivot to RW and get Madueke for 50m, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Chelsea are much easier to deal with too. I reckon we could have that deal wrapped up in 48 hours if we went hard and fast.
-
By better value do you mean of equal quality? We can sign young players for cheaper, we can sign players with potential for cheaper, we can even sign players who might be great players for cheaper but all of which are bigger gambles and you are as likely to waste money on a 30m Thiaw as you are on a Guehi. For the record, going above 65m seems too much and I've been in the "go get him" camp.
