A bit of sense. We do need a replacement but it won't take THAT much to replace and average player.

Makes you wonder why they bothered to sign him then... ... they have just signed him right? I'm not missing something am i? He signed for Valencia today. It is thought that Valencia owned half his economic rights, as is the practice at Spanish clubs atmo, but exercised their option to buy him outright in the attempt to get more money from him in the future. If that is the case, then it would be an excellent move by us. With Valencia's money problems we could snap him up next year.... providing he impresses.

Is anyone happy signing a Spurs reject and two unknowns (one who has just literally been signed by a club then loaned out)?? I am not. I expect to see the 12m Milner money invested along with a few more million on players saying as we have probably made a net profit from selling/buying players this summer despite our squad being so threadbare. Spurs reject? In the same way that Guthrie was a Liverpool reserve? Come off it. Just because a player isn't one managers cup of tea doesn't mean they will be a "failure" everywhere they play. As for unknown, had you heard of Jonas? I hadn't.

Before the Chelsea game kicked off, he was talking from Villa Park and said "I played with Robbie Keane at Liverpool". Oh dear Jamie. He said Tottenham didn't he? I would swear he said Liverpool because I remember shouting at him straight away and noticing that my missus didnt give a fuck at what I was saying Aye he did, i picked up on it.

What? Did you just contradict yourself in the same sentence? That's what i thought.

Completely disagree with your valuation of Frazer Campbell Yorkie. As you say, the player has not proved himself in the top flight, therefore IMO 7m is ridiculas money. For that money they could buy a number of players who would perform better in this league. It's just bad business.

You don't seriously expect Redknapp to make sense. Just wait until Spurs, Liverpool, Pompey or Chelsea are on the agenda. Biased twaddle.
-
He's a right knob like. Sad state of afairs when Glenn Hoddle is the one talking sense.
-
Absolutely, KK was hardly going to say that he was a shite player when asked the other day. Interested to see where he goes.
-
Not arsed about losing him.
-
Who's the bloke next to him? It's the same bloke who was standing near SBR on that famous morning he was sacked, when leaving the training ground but i don't know what he does at the club. Kitman?

Monday night/tuesday morning (midnight)

He hasn't signed it yet though.

It sounds like a cop-out, but it is a tremendous financial commitment. It's more than Villa will fork out for Milner. I wonder if Ashley gave Keegan a choice - Keep one, lose the other. Is it a coincidence that the deal has been offered after Milner has departed? Conjecture though isn't it. Pure guesswork, probably untrue. Wasn't presenting it as fact. I know mate but often these theories can catch on with other people and they presume it's a fact.

Because he is not good enough/he didn't deserve it/we weren't offered twice his value. My point is that the two situations are entirely different.
-
In all seriousness, i don't think he will get a better salary anwhere else.
-
Completely agree. Surely none of our fans could expect us to offer him anything more? I think many of us would expect us to offer him less or find a replacement. I am in that camp anyway, and wouldn´t be to pleased if we are losing out on and having to sell other players because we are not offering them the wages that they want, only to then go and offer one of our most injury prone players a much improved deal that would have him amongst the Premiership absolute top earners. So you would offer him less and risk letting him go? I understand your points, just want to see what you would do.
-
which of course, shows your theory to be bollocks What did you think of our performance against Man Utd? What do you think of our signings so far (the cheap and expensive ones)? Do you think KK is lying through his teeth when he says that the decision to sell Milner was his? Do you believe Ashley when he says that KK's got full control of who goes/stays in the first team? Honestly, you just seem to pop up in negative threads or turn threads into negative ones. What were you saying a couple of weeks ago about Ashley wearing Coloccini's shirt when the signing hadn't been confirmed? What was that, I didn't hear you? Oh yes, he did sign. And what about the Gutierrez hold up that you and UV were complaining about? Oh, that turned out to be quite a big deal, didn't it? All excellent points, that will undoubtabley be ignored, twisted and turned into questions. I admire your courage but he's a lost cause.

It's only going to be a long hard season if you believe that we have a poor squad. I don't believe we have a poor squad, just a small one but it's not the smallest. Hopefully, we will have a couple more too add by tommorow.

R.E The PR, especially after getting beat off Arsenal.

Hopefully this is true and it can all be put to bed. Micheal Owen staying at the club would be a massively positive move. BTW, is the reason they are using the word extention because that's how much he is earning already? If he wants more than he is currently on, then he can fuck off, so i expect him to accept it.

We can't sign anyone on monday, Shirley? (Unless they're a free agent of course, but how many of them would "shock the world"?) Why can't we sign anyone on monday like?
