  1. How the hell did SAHA pass a medical? everton made him touch his toes for the medical He nearly did aswell.
  2. I'm starting to get irritated, we haven't signed anyone in two hours. Xisco deal has blatently fallen through.
  3. I'd be very suprised if he is not. Who offers a player 120k a week and sells him the next day? As well as that KK was asked directly about Owen to which he replied "Arsenal will not be Owens last game for us". However, things do change. Unless we made the offer ages ago, and only yesterday found out he has no intention of signing it - so announced the offer to let the fans know it's him who wants to go if he does. That makes worrying sense. Very similar to the Milner situation.
  4. Where's that Owen shite from? He won't go anywhere.
  5. Totally agree, this is a baffling one for me, i just can't work it out for either valencia or ourselves. Have you not read this thread like? It's very simple. The guy was part owned by Danubio and Valencia. Valencia are in financial s***. They decided to buy the other half of him in order to send him out on loan, so that when he returns he may command a fee, as they need the money. We have decided to be the side that loan's him out as he ticks alot of the boxes. In order to protect their investment they have made him sign a four year deal, before going out on loan. Next year if he impresses, Valencia can get a healthy figure and we may be able to get a good player that we have had a chance to look at. I guarantee you it will come up again very shortly. I'm going to go with halfway down the next page, before another nervous wreck starts lamenting on the fact the great and mighty Newcastle dared to loan a player from another club, therefore severely damaging their big club status. People are getting it mixed up with the Rossi style loan signing. Where we are effectively getting used by another club to develop their youngster.

  8. Valencia have tied down his contract for insurance reasons, we did the same with Viana and Krul before sending him out on loan. This means that they are in the driving seat should anyone bid for him. Happens all the time. If they REALLY wanted to keep him long term, they would not have sent him out on loan. It's not like he's a teenager, who's learning his trade.
  9. I don't think he is. No. He is a top talent but he's two years too old to command that sort of fee. Still class mind.
  10. Watch Man Utd equal it and sign him in the final hour. Blatantly going to happen.
  11. Haha, Berbatov to city for a british transfer record is on.
  12. Not Larsson then you fucking dickhead? 'NEWCASTLE United were hoping to tie up a £5m-plus deal for Deportivo La Coruna striker Francisco Jimenez Tejada before the transfer window slams shut at midnight tonight. The word from Spain today was that the 26-year-old player, dubbed Xisco, has already agreed to join his former Deportivo colleague Fabricio Coloccini at St Jamess Park.' He can't even get things right after copying his articles from elsewhere That's beyond funny. Surely he's been reading the wrong thread because Nacho is the one who is 26, what a dickhead.
  13. Nacho is a midfielder, Owen is a striker. I can't see the comparison. If we play this lad, it will be in midfield.
  14. Rumour that City have launched a bid for Berbatov. I would be shocked if that happened though.
  15. I think we might sign Malouda before the window is out. Has anyone mentioned that we have been linked with Butelle the Valencia keeper. R.E Owen, no chance he will end up at Everton.

    Alan Smith

Bugger, still one can hope. At least if we wrap up Xisco he will be moved down the pecking order.
  17. Nope, the Milner sale demonstrates how insane things are getting. He cost more than Nasri FFS. And potentially Guthrie, Jonas and Xisco put together.
  18. from the Deportivo forums Xisco also suffers from the occassional muscular problems but if KK wants a target man alongside the likes of Owen/Martins, he could fill that role well and chip in with a few goals too. I think his team play has been his most improved attribute in the last year. His holding up of the ball with his back to goal, thus allowing the midfield to join the attacks was a feature of last year that really improved noticeably. He's also a brave striker, not scared to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in, which will no doubt go down well with the Geordie faithfull. He's not exactly lightning quick but for a target man, he has a turn of speed. *Drool*
  19. Do i fuck! 5.7m for Xisco or 8m for heskey? Hmm.....

    Alan Smith

This day could end up with us effectively spending £2.7m on his getting rid of Smith and bringing in a quality new striker. IF that happens i will jizz my pants.
  21. Interested to see what this guy is all about. Hopefully he will be good foil for Owen. I love new strikers.
  22. A bit of sense. We do need a replacement but it won't take THAT much to replace and average player.
