I can't believe a word the cunt says tbh.

Aye does seem fairly simple, although there is always more to it. Dassier has his face in the media far too often.
-
Hidden from all of those who weren't being sensible. If you give me £100 i can sneak you in though.
-
Rising to 29m with addons, by all accounts. Jesus titty wept. Just short of £30m for someone who's main attribute is "trying hard" He's more than that, he can use both feet too

I'd love to see someone like Jack Charlton at the club but not as a DOF, more a chief executive like Bobby Charlton is at Man Utd. The role doesn't have to be technical though. It would just be nice to have a knowledgable local fella in a high position who has the clubs best interests at heart, as an advisor to the board and perhaps even a representative in transfers or within the media (a face if you like). SBR would have been amazing in this role, RIP.

Already posted? Won't happen, no way will he join Arsenal. Wenger would have signed him when he was 3 years old if he rated him. That's just bullshit speculation.

Im starting to wonder if it's Newcastle-Online that set up this Ben Arfa lark.
-
I must say i was always abit sceptical of this sudden 8m bid from Werder Bremen, the problem is that with this club you always fear the worst. Surely we must be sorting this deal out by now, surely. If we get him, this thread will go into raptures.
-
Aye we can spend 1.5m on Perch but 4m for Ben Arfa is out of the question.
-
This "correct" stategy could get us relegated though. Where as a 3m? extra on a player who could keep us in a division worth multi millions would be a "risk".

People are shwoing their frustrations at Ashley because of the way we are conducting our business. Perhaps some of that is a tad shortsighted but it was Ashley who got us into this mess in the first place. When he spends a bit of money people will lay off him abit, like they did in January. I don't see many people praising him, let alone calling him a legend.
-
Fact remains that we still haven't sign him and if we don't Ashley has proven to be a massive c***, that still remains, The fact also remains that if we do sign him then he will be a legend again, untill the next player people on here want doesn't turn up, then he's that fat Cockney b****** that won't open his wallet. I don't know who is more hated on here, Mike Ashley or the Tories. Ashley could pour in millions, win us the league, FA Cup and everything else on offer, and Cameron could give you all £50k a year tax free, a job for life etc and you would all be able to still hate them both. People on here need to f***ing grow up, it's no good going round hating Ashley for not siging the player you want, and it's no good hating Cameron for leading a party who did things 20-30 years ago that you didn't agree with. Ashley's a cunt, Cameron's a cunt.

I am as well, I'm definitely more optimistic after the game than before it. Strange for a 3-0 defeat obviously. Yeah, we didn't get a total kicking - although I get the impression they could've given us one if they'd been up for it - we contained them for long periods in the first half anyway, and we could have scored a couple if we'd have had better finishing or Carroll's head hadn't been shaped like a 50 pence piece. Speaking of heads, the best thing from Monday was that their heads didn't go down, which was what I was worried about and that bodes well for the rest of the season. I know it's talent that really defines the final outcome but it was excellent to see them keep their heads up. If they can do that all season, i'd fancy us to take it right down to the wire, with a good chance of staying up.

Aye well we did have permission to speak to him, that's why he was going to fly over for talks, then Marsaille went back on the deal and Ben Arfa decided to fly anyway... out of protest. Now he's gone back and we were all expecting it to be resolved, until this Bremen shit came out, which seems to have thrown a spanner in the works. Now it's anyone's guess, i just hope we are still in their fighting.
-
Not convinced we were ever in for those players.
-
We would be cutting off our nose to spite our face. If they have to sell a player to get him in then they should do it. Nobody wants our players. That's why we have them. Hmm not strictly true. I reckon their are a few squad players who we could sell. Someone like Taylor would be a worth while sacrifice to get Ben Arfa in permenantly. We might even make a profit.

You reckon this will be a sell out?
-
I can't imagine we have simply "given up" on signing him. The question is whether we would give in to their demands in order to get him. If we did, then i still think he would choose us over Bremen as he has/had his heart set on us.
-
Agreed. I don't doubt that Ben Afra is capable of a u-turn but not in the space of a couple of hours.
-
How new is this? If this is true then this saga has a lonnnnggggg way to go.
-
Like i say, the press are playing guessing games. If he's confident of getting players in, i'd be suprised is one of them wasn't Ben Arfa.
-
Man Utd are class, we did well to hold out for 30mins and nearly go in front. We learned nothing about where the two clubs are at. We are in for a tough season but we showed signs of organisation and team spirit which should help us in our quest for safety. I think Barton will get better and better.
-
The press don't know what's going on and that's because everything has gone quiet. I'm not worried by the silence.
