  1. Will this be the final straw in the RTG love-in with Feyenoord. First they get told to p*** off with bringing Sunderland flags to the De Kuip, and then they take that Mag Bass Minty on loan. Fewmin!!
  2. Aside from the "Never tell the sell how much money you have" thoughths, Im thinking the new "low" budget is whats left over after they have Dom Szlob.
  3. Except if Liverpool are 6th - then definitely playoffs
  4. Only the 5th place team wants this. They would not want this if they were 4th
  5. He's just playing the game of showing the fans how devastated he is. I bet the fan base is more upset than the players are. With the fan base being over-entitled then he has to show pseudo-devastation. Seems a bit OTT for me
  6. Wait till someone challenges the business case that Etihad airlines are getting an increase in flight sales that exceeds their sponsorship of City. or TeamViewer (whatever that is) are getting increased sales equal to their ManUtd sponsorship. If not then the market value is not a true value.
  7. I would understand if it was exceeding the market, but other teams/companies have set the markets. Now they are arguing that “little old Newcastle” cannot possibly be worth paying what other big 6 teams are worth. Next they will require contracts to be based on the coefficient of success based on last 10 years (update as required to protect big 6)
  8. So it’s at a value less than other contracts for similar placed clubs … but still inflated.
  9. SportswashDirect.com On the stadium
  10. Liverpool only like the idea of playoffs as they are not “in” the spots. Would be funny as fuck to see them push for playoffs as outsiders and then see a 6th/7th place Chelsea or Spurs knock them out of the 5th CL spot
  11. That’s the hard part …. Once the have identified that they have a 6month old inside, when they shouldn’t be, they are putting themselves into legal jeopardy if they let her stay and something happens. It looks bad. Not sure there is a good solution
  12. Leicester T&C say not children under age 2 are admitted for football games. Bad on the turnstile people letting her in with the baby.
  13. ‘Kin Ell… just looked again at Atlanta and it’s almost all gone … even in the upper deck
  14. ATL Lower bowl sold out really quickly (30 mins) - It was already mostly sold when it went to the Public presale, but remaining seats went quickly. it is a double header with Brighton-Brentford playing same day on the one ticket so it’s twice as many teams buying tickets for that day, and it’s Chelsea. But I was surprised how quickly the lower bowl sold out.
  15. Two for Atlanta/Chelsea Lower bowl sold out really quickly
  16. Ask them to take you to Rainey St. Highly recommend Bangers (Biergarten) and get the Man-Mosa.
  17. Hotel in Atlanta booked Holding off on flights until tickets go on sale. Could have stayed in Texas and seen the mIghty Mackems in San Antonio
  18. This is the issue. Fernandes foot to the head of Schar is a penalty, and so is this. This doesn’t help the PL when it comes to criticism of favoring the big teams. (See also Spurs trip on Brighton forward who should have had penalty)
  19. Can’t put Hands on the referee
  20. After the West Ham game …. Cannot ever recommend white seats in a stadium ?
  21. Hand on the referee- yes that’s physical abuse
  22. The 8 game thing is misleading it’s 3 games for Red Card (standard) 3 games for physically manhandling referee (about right - could be more) And 2 games for verbal abuse (Seems fair) I don’t see anything excessive there … I can see why they are pushing for more games (probably for the physical abuse).
  23. I, sort-of, understand the Chelsea sacking. I think it mirrors the Bayern Munich sacking of Nagelsman, where they are not sure that they want to do it, but they are afraid to let their target replacement get taken from them. While Tuchel was available (but not in demand) Bayern had options and the chance to see how things went, but as soon as Tottenham needed a new manager, suddenly Bayern had to act or risk loosing the chance to hire Tuchel. Same for Chelsea, sticking with Potter as nothing better out there, but once Nagelsman became available, they had to act on Potter or risk Nagelsman going to Spurs and leaving them without a choice.
  24. And fans are completely biased to their team. consider how you feel about the referee when you win or lose, and then compare that to how you feel when watching a neutral game. Guaranteed that if fans rated the referee after a game - winning team would be positive, the losing team would be negative. And the neutrals would be in the middle. im convinced this is why we rate overseas referees highly but don’t like the domestic refs. (We have less connection to any specific team in overseas leagues)
  25. The ban is important as it sends a message that this will not be tolerated. Agree that the Fernandez shove should also have been addressed. if you leave this unpunished then it will continue to filter down into grass roots football. Youth, Sunday league etc will copy as its “OK to do this”. I stopped refereeing (doing competitive youth games) because it wasn’t worth the verbal abuse any more.
