Great result and great game. We didnt start well but 2nd half we were the better side, 8 games unbeaten at home and winning 6 of those.

If Carr walks back into the side when he is fit i will lose all respect for Roeder, Carr has proved time after time that he aint good enough for us and Solano has proved he is good enough. Im praying that he is sold in the Summer. It was a slap in the face when we got Carr because for weeks before we bought Carr we were heavily linked with Miguel and it did seem possible that we'd get him but then some how we got Carr.

Couldnt agree more, Woody comes back for a few games and people think he's been touched by jesus. IMHO i wouldnt touch him with a barge pole. He's a fantastic player when fit but i dont want us risking the future of our defence on a player who has been known as a crock, I'd rather we spent the money on a player like Curtis Davis who'd give us years of service plus a player we can rely on being fit.

Your first worry is my biggest worry, the transfer market might be a lack of bottle, that is easier to change and could actually be of benefit in the long term. TBH its my biggest worry aswell, Sometimes i think when we win people get caught in the moment and i aint ripping into people for it because ive been known for that aswell. To memory i cant think of once when Roeder has made a sub which has been effective. In all fairness i think Roeder is a nice genuine guy but he aint the manager thats gonna take us where we want to be. I'd love to be proven wrong, I'd even go as far as saying i'd pay money to be proven wrong but i know it aint gonna happen.

What worries me about Roeder is the fact that when we have had mass injuries he seems to do better than when he has a full squad, When the team picks it self. Tactically he aint good and the way he uses his subs seem to back that statment. He has failed in the transfer markets but i will give him some credit because Martins seems like a steal at £10m and Le Sib has been a good addition to the squad. Roeder wont get sacked but i should imagine he'll be backed with a decent amount of money in the Summer and then there can be no excuses from him

I was happy to read that Roeder has said that Butt is a very important player and that if he is fit he will play, A few of us were worried that he'd be warming the bench when Parker and Emre are fit.

I actually think he makes decent runs aswell, His finishing as improved a lot and he aint to bad linking up with midfield. Everytime this season when Dyer has moved into midfield it hasnt just effected his game but also the teams performance. It would be nice to see an attacking 3 of Dyer,Martins and Owen in a 4-3-3 but tbh i dont think we have the players who'd cope in a 3 man midfield.

You must have watched a different game to me then because i thought they played us off the park and must be scratching their heads wondering how they lost. They didn't score 4 goals? oh do fuck off, we were fucking awful tonight, Villa had a perfectly good goal disallowed and also hit the post in the 1st half. It wasn't even supposed to be a corner when Carew scored from it...So from that it was justice done (spelling?) But Villa played better than us.... Looked like a corner to me, Taylor and Harper complained but from my position in the Milburn stand it looked like taylor had headed it over the bar. No Taylor didnt touch the ball he jumped but the ball hit the top of the cross bar.

After tonight its clear Dyer shouldnt be played in midfiled!!!! Up front is where he's best and it seems he has a good understanding with Martins. When Dyer moved into midfield he wasnt all that good, He have a great engine but he aint a big tackler and when he does surge forward he leaves a huge gap in midfield. I dont even think he's a RW because he aint that good at crossing. I suppose he could play attacking midfiled sat just behind the striker in a 4-51 but i feel his best position is up front where his pace is best used. He finishing has also improved.

Thats been Newcastle problem over the years!!!! We dont need a "cheap" LB we need a good LB and good LB's wont come cheap, Babayaro was a cheap LB and look at him. Instead of buying Babel for £5m i'd use that money to buy a decent LB.

You're happy for Ameobi and Sibierski to be playing 20+ games, then? No, and they won't get 20+ games if Owen and Martins remain fit. Also, if Gudjohnsen does become unhappy about being a bit part player at the worlds best club, do you really think he'll come to Newcastle to be a bit part player.. Owen wont play 20+ games and tbh if Gudjohnsen was here he'd probably get in the side before Martins. Im not slating Martins or anything because he is a great prospect and has done very well since his move. I don't think Saviola has signed a new deal with Barcelona yet (could be wrong like) If his demands don't drop it'll be him who leaves in the summer. It wasnt him who didnt wanna sign?
