  1. Bolton wouldn't drop below £15m, Spurs wouldn't go above £12m.
  2. Every player is for sale at the right price. Don't give a f*** what your ITKs have agreed. If Modric goes Bale and VDV would follow very quickly after. If Modric goes in this window I'll happily give £100 to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, I've done that before but, on this occasion, I don't think I'll be donating anything. I'm very confident. I said I didn't believe Modric would go, although I was nervous when I heard the bid had gone up to £40m (I actually heard £42m). But I had also been told that Levy was prepared to let Modric sit in the stands for the next 5 years so I'm not surprised it was still rejected. Time will tell whether Levy did the right thing, I personally think so, I'm far less happy about no other striker or CB having been signed than £40+m being turned down. Anyway, despite Modric still being at WHL I'll still be donating £100 to the SBRF in spite of Modric staying. It's up there with the most worthy of causes.
  3. The mood here is mirrored by the Spurs forums. Needed a striker and a CB and didn't either. The only straw to be clutched at is Levy does the deals and Redknapp always lies through his back teeth.
  4. Adebayor signed about a week ago.............
  5. May be going to France on loan. Don't know where.
  6. My guess is just Parker and Cahill and 3 or 4 of the deadwood out. Cant see much else happening. Dont think Leandro will happen this window, Diarra won't happen, won't accept less than £120k pw now that he's with RM. We need a striker but I don't think we'll get one.
  7. Which one, Everton's or Bolton's? Which one, Everton's or Bolton's? Bolton's. Bentley or JJ (or both) talking to Fulham apparently.
  8. Spurs bid for Cahill has been accepted. Personal terms and medical to follow. Going to be a long day.
  9. I've said all along that Modric won't be sold under any circumstances. Redknapp has just said 1000000% Modric will not be sold. I'm getting worried now!
  10. Sure about that? Was mooted that it was denied. Yep as Redknapp has now confirmed it's upto Crouch now whether he satys or goes. Sounds like Crouch wants to stay in London, turns down Stoke then Sunderland. Now QPR have had a bid accepted I think Crouch will be selective about where in London he moves to. I can't see him going anwhere.
  11. Levy doesn't want Redknapp to waste it, rather wait 12 months and let Ancelotti waste it instead. There's plenty of money without selling Modric.
  12. Sounds like a Harry signing. Great!
  13. 5 in my foot. My guess is.. Parker Bellamy Cahill or Samba I've heard Joe Cole's name too many times for comfort in the past couple of weeks as well. Leandro is also being mentioned a lot but I think it's too close to the end of the window to get the thing done. I know Broomfield has strongly recommended that we sign him but he did the same for Suarez last summer and Redknapp 'didn't think he was up to it'. Parker's already completed apparently and will be announced tomorrow to let the media know Redknapp's been busy on the final day of the window............. sigh.
  14. He was offered to us as a makeweight for Modric. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Spurs and I'm surprised Wenger would be even slightly remotely interested in signing him. I accept he is better than Rosicky though...... and probably Arshavin as well.
  15. Do you think Wenger will throw money at any player, no matter how much you need him? I don't, but it's an honest question I'm asking. He's said he is willing to spend £30m if it is necessary, I hope he realises now is the time if ever he needed to. I genuinely think we will see about £50m spent by the end of the window. Is that including the £24m or so you've spent on Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho, Jenkinson and Campbell or in addition to do you reckon? I know Wenger has said he'll spend £30m or more on the right player, but it goes so much against the grain of his philosophy of signing youngsters with star potential.

  17. The sooner he replaces Capello or gets banged up the better. For the last couple of weeks he's been saying that Spurs would be better off selling Modric and strengthening the squad with the money, gets a bollocking from Levy then comes out with that sh*t. Unbelievable. £6m to buy out Ancelotti's gardening leave seems like a bargain.
  18. VI, have you seen anything about Espanyol wanting Pav? With Osvaldo having gone there's obviously a space to be filled but could he possibly be the answer? (fingers crossed)
  19. Surprised that Harry never let on that we were after him! Any acquisition would improve what we saw today.
  20. Scott Parker signed for Spurs tonight apparently.
  21. It is the Daily Mail though and Stoke's chairman is as bad as Levy for not wanting to pay over the odds. Can't see it happening at anything like that price. I think it's possible that a striker is on his way out though, there's a lot of talk about Leandro Damiao being resurrected for this window. What, like Jesus? No, not quite in the biblical sense unless his injury was worse than first believed!

  23. Please don't talk about that award like it means something. I don't think Parker is as bad as people are making out but that award is a joke. Parker - Rooney - Gerrard - Ronaldo - Ronaldo - Henry - Lampard - Henry - Henry - Pires Not that much of a joke is it. Last year it was. I agree with Froggy that I don't think he's as bad as some are making out but he's not a player Spurs should be signing in order to progress. Parker was superb last season according to Hammers fans who watched him week in and week out. He's exactly the sort of player we need in order to progress and will be a key player for us imo. West Ham were f***ing dire last season. He might have been a bit of a bright light in terms of their woeful play, but playing well for a side that got relegated doesn't mean you're good enough for a 5th/6th place side. Plus, Huddlestone and Sandro are better, and Livermore probably will be by the end of the season. Waste of money. Juninho. Livermore better than Parker by the end of the season :mackems: :mackems: :mackems: Parker is average. Livermore has the potential to be better than average. Livermore is 8 months younger than Sandro, maybe he's a late developer. Livermore, will make a very good living from being a footballer but turning out better than Parker, an England international? Not in my opinion. I might be wrong but I doubt it.
  24. Also that Redknapp's court case comes up soon and there's a good chance he'll be found guilty. It's widely rumoured that Redknapp's recent comments about letting Modric go this window have been to push Levy into sacking him (with a £3m pay off) rather than getting sacked for gross misconduct (and getting zilch). What is certain is that Levy and Redknapp have had major fallouts over the Modric situation.
  25. Being said on the forums that 2 or 3 of our dross will go in the opposite direction on loan, halving their wage bill and the loan fees making a big dent in the fee Wham are wanting. Sounding like a good deal in prospect.
