  1. The only chance he'll have to wear one, not good enough player. Surprised Wenger has persevered with him.
  2. Season tickets available for members with zero loyalty points. Big club my arse. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2373846,00.html
  3. Supposedly shown round Melwood a couple of days ago, according to scousers. Scousers were reputedly only willing to pay £14m while a clause in Jones' contract said he could go if a bid of £16m was made. King Kenny might think twice about haggling in future. Daniel Levy: please take note as well!
  4. Not yet complete but should be in the next few days say Wolves.
  5. He's pretty much Wolves level imo. Such a mediocre player. Pretty average maybe but he'd always put a shift in. I wish him all the best.
  6. Nothing official yet but Jamie O'Hara has signed for Wolves. £5m apparently, 4 year deal
  7. Being said on Twitter that Leandro signed yesterday. Not the most reliable but ......................
  8. I like this bit: Seems like his agent has been trying to stimulate some interest in Joe Cole getting a new home, but it wont be Spurs. Devestated.
  9. Reputedly having a medical next week, costing £3m. After just signing a 40 year old, the news just gets worse and worse....................... you're joking ? f*** me thats bad. A normally reliable fella broke this story this afternoon and the thread is now the best part of 30 pages long, it hasn't been well received. I think Redknapp is preparing to leave. He arrived when we had 2 points from 8 games and he's trying to duplicate that record next season.
  10. Reputedly having a medical next week, costing £3m. After just signing a 40 year old, the news just gets worse and worse.......................
  11. you mean their clubs? It's a local rag who's claiming that, not the club coming out and saying that we agreed a contract with Cesc/Rossi/Alexis (those are the 3 players in question). Anyway, Marcelino García Toral has asked Sevilla to sign Gio Dos Santos, which should make our resident Spurs fans happy. Anyway, pretty excited to see how Marcelino fares in a biggish team like Sevilla, the way he transformed Racing in a mere few months was astonishing. I've got to the stage where I don't think he'll ever leave. Like Keane, O'Hara, Defoe, Crouch etc.
  12. Seems like Parker will be joining Friedel in the next few days. Sounds like the revolving doors at WHL will need to be well oiled this window.
  13. Fox are saying that Brad Friedel will be announced as a Spurs player today and that Gomes is in talks with AC Milan. Deep joy..................
  14. Internacional's President they have rejected €12m bid from Spurs for Leandro Damiao. He also said he believes Spurs will make an improved bid and that it is inevitable that Leandro will leave. Spurs have a partnership with Internacional, that's where they got Sandro and this move has been widely rumoured for a couple of weeks at least.
  15. Surprised Harry Forrester has been released as well, he was meant to be one for the future. Villa paid a fair wedge for him iirc.
  16. One good reason why the 2 Davids won't appoint him.
  17. That's the home and away that's generally considered to be the best. I've seen 3 designs and that by far is the best, which says everything about the other 2. The one thing they have in common is they haven't given any thought about what it will look like when the Investec logo is added.
  18. Under Armour have already produced proposed designs for Spurs' 2012/13 season even though we've got one more Puma year to go. The shortlisted designs are horrific ............... and that description is being kind.
  19. Modric is more deserving than either of them ....................... and he's still wasn't my pick for the award. Parker gets shortlisted for the main award, Wilshere doesn't and Wilshere gets selected for the Team of the Year and Parker doesn't? Go figure. Of the nominations Tevez would have been my choice, Nani would have been if he'd been nominated.
  20. Sadly I agree. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he returned to Chelsea.
  21. how longs his real contract? no way he walks for nowt, no way real sack him even if they come away with nothing, no way spurs pay up his contract he'll stay one more year imo I thought some Spanish based journos were saying that he'll be going in the summer because Mourinho's style and attitude doesn't sit well with Real's hierachy. I think RM would be mad to sack him but RM have a history of sacking managers who have won the La Liga title, so sacking a manager who failed to do that shouldn't come as a huge shock.
  22. I don't think Leyton want it, do they? They just don't want anyone else landing on their doorstep and taking their casual fans. Not sure how real that problem is, but still. Orient's objection is West Ham's intention to discount the price of family tickets and give free tickets to schools, both of which would directly affect Orient's attendances. Hearn isn't enthused over the Spurs option either but he concedes that Spurs wouldn't be selling tickets on the cheap and also have a larger fanbase to start off with.
  23. I hope you're spot on. JM gets on well with Levy and there's always a transfer pot available for a manager. Amazingly, there's a fair few Spurs fans who wouldn't want him. Unbelievable.
  24. Don't know if it's mentioned in another thread..................... http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=reu-englandstadiumorient Leyton Orient have followed Tottenham Hotspur by applying to the High Court for a judicial review over West Ham United’s planned move to the 2012 Olympic Stadium after the Games, chairman Barry Hearn said on Thursday. Orient, who play in League One (third division) claim that West Ham’s move into the stadium will put their own existence in doubt and, like Spurs, say Newham Council were not entitled to provide a loan of up to 40 million pounds ($65.05 million) to the stadium company that will be set up to run the venue and from whom West Ham will rent the ground. They also claim the Premier League has broken its own rules in sanctioning a move by one club close to the established home of another club in the area. “We are taking action against Newham Council because the loan is unlawful,” Hearn told Sky Sports News. “We will follow this with judicial applications against the Government, the Minister of Sport, the Mayor of London and will take action against the Premier League for being in breach of their own rules as well. “It is an all-encompassing charge by Leyton Orient, a battle by the little man against the big forces of evil if you like. “This represents a challenge to our entire future and our survival and we have no choice but to fight our corner.” The Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) in February approved West Ham’s bid for the 80,000-seater stadium which took three years to build, cost close to 500 million pounds and was completed ahead of schedule in March. Tottenham, who also wanted to move to the stadium, are contesting the use of public funds to help remodel the stadium after the Games. I never thought Spurs would benefit from a judicial review but Orient have a strong case imo.
