AAGGGHGHHGHG can they not just have one term where they go to school 7 days a week, and just Christmas Day off?? (teachers still get their holidays. Obviously.) Oh yes, just get young offenders on Community Service to look after them while you lot have a holiday.

I wasn't referring to the unfinished business thing - I agree entirely on that part - I was referring to the bit after re the top four or Newcastle part. Well what's to disagree with?? f****** hell. You think he would turn Man City down and go somewhere like Villa? I seriously doubt it. Whereas on the other hand on more than one occasion he's indirectly registered an interest in the toon job. Says a newspaper article. Says Freddie Shepherd's mouth piece. Pipe down good lad.

And that is based on what? An opinion. Got a problem with that? I'd say if all the sides in the top flight maximised their potential Manchester City would be in the top 6 with us, and surely Houllier can see that? So if he's going to through third parties turn his back on an opportunity there I certainly couldn't see him going elsewhere.

Houllier's representatives were on the phone begging for the toon job apparently, Oliver has no reason to lie. Houllier frequently states he has unfinished business in the Premiership but I don't think he'd manage anyone other than the top four or us.
  12. Incredibly the bloke I'm on about WAS there. Loads of you will recognise him. He's in the very top corner of the little faces interviewed outside the ground on page 2 of the Chronicle the neet. He's there at EVERY single one. He's grown a tash mind, he's down as Steven 35, Unemployed, Fenham. Have a look I bet you recognise him. He's ALWAYS walking about the toon. noticed him in the ronny mesell anarl knicknamed smiler at school - due to his permanent grin and aye stevie he's been outside the ground at every single press confernce since before keegan took over It's definitely him 100% I've never seen him without a grin on his face ever. Heard him on once in the bookies on the West Road and get the impression he's a bit of a Rangers fan. Totally harmless bloke though.

    Good luck Titus.
  14. For most of the squad being fit, I'd agree Newcastle would have been higher up the league table than where they actually finished. For some, the Moores, Babayaros and Carrs, it wouldn't have made a lot of difference if they were fit or not, they were happy to take the money but not to put in a shift to earn it. It's those that SA has to sort out, to shape up or ship out, and it can't all be done this window, maybe SA can get those 3 and the rest to perform as they can, not as they have. There again, maybe he can't. It will take time to evaluate them before deciding whether they stay or go. Berbatov won't be sold for a while. Spurs reported £20+m profit for the last 6 months, it'll probably be around £35m for the year. If it doesn't get spent beofre the end of the tax year, the taxman will be taking a big chunk out of that. That's why Spurs are looking to sort out some the bigger deals asap. I think Spurs will be spending all, or very nearly all, of that £35m this window. Rasiak back in?

    Derby County v WBA?

Had a fiver on Southampton to win over 90 minutes at 15/8 so I'm reasonably pleased. I've been to Derby a few times, twice to the Baseball and once to Pride Park. Baseball Ground, was an absolute dream old English stadium, I'll never forget it, absolutely fantastic atmosphere, close to the pitch a carbuncle of old unusual stands, plus the Toyota one, it was a desperately sad day when they moved. If you're having a pint in the toon it's a right fuck on getting to the ground, pointless getting a taxi cos the one road in is jammed, and it's 20 minutes walk so people like Keith "Beefy" Roberts would be fucked. Never been to Southampton, and I felt sorry for George Burley it has to be said. What a smashing bloke he comes across as. That bastard at Hearts wants shooting for sacking him. Hope Derby come up now though, because the West Midlands - oh dear, plus Wolves are complete wanks.
  16. If we don't finish above Tottenham next season I'll be disappointed. They're shite, particularly when Berbatov completes his move next season. People on about Everton too, this is a side who's first choice right back is Tony fuckin Hibbert. If the current squad had've been fit this season, with a manager who instilled value in the shirt, passion and motivation throughout the squad, fifth would not have been out of the question.

  18. I tell you what it is fact, and I'm not telling you how I know, FFS uses this message board. No PM's please. I heard the full thing on Talksport about 6pm, and in fairness Gullit was quite upbeat about Newcastle. He seemed to insuate the biggest problem with the job is the local press. blueyes.gif
  19. What do you think of that, Stevie? No comment. Pussy. Probably sick at the thought that people who werent born in the centre circle of SJP can dare support Newcastle Wonder what his stance on people born Tyneside but left at a young age and were raised elsewhere? ie, Me'self. We all piss and shite the same and we all love the toon, that's all that matters.
  20. What do you think of that, Stevie? No comment.
  21. Half our support is from overseas.
  22. Fuckin Parky will naa.
  23. Steve Wraith on BBC 1 "Bolton are a sleeping giant and massive club too so he's got the experience of managing under pressure." This c*** the so called voice of the fans at one time is a bigger prick than FFS.
  24. Fair enough, but nothing ever stays constant, and if we can't attract the top top players now, why can't we in the future as we have before. Saying they can't is final, full stop.
  25. Yes, but you're missing the point. Berbatov wasn't a world star he signed for you and probably still isn't, Owen was when he signed for us, the point I was making was Spurs don't have the capacity to go out and buy world stars, unless they're finished like Klinsmann. Just because he's not a Canadian who went to Harvard University, it doesn't mean his article isn't absolutely spot on. s****, a double negative, I suppose you'll tell me off for that as well. What you said makes perfect sense. I.e. it does not mean it is not spot on. It's only incorrect if you say something like: "Don't have none" when you mean "Don't have any". I hope that clears things up It makes sense, but is also grammatically incorrect. I think it's ok grammatically tbh. I'm no expert though. You can't have a double negative in one sentence. Like "you can't say I didn't tell you".
