Good win, strange old game like. We've scored 4 goals and other than a couple of half chances when we were 1-0 down we didn't waste many chances at all. Tiote was great, like his old self at last. Sissoko is just a total beast, plays the free role well as he's usually involved one way or another. Cisse's goal was amazing, the relief in his celebration was noticeable. The French day thing was borderline ridiculous at times. The "beretzooka" pre-game was funny, the french Blaydon races was pushing it though. The flag thing pre-game looked good in the East Stand, assume it was meant to be black and white in the Gallowgate but it was jusbt bits of white here and there. Southampton will be fine, quite a tidy team who are probably one or two decent defenders away from being mid table. Lambert was good, I was impressed by him. Worrying that half time seems to be a big problem for us at the moment, we just seem to switch off completely. Hopefully Swansea are off out on the piss for a week following their cup final win, though I think we can give anyone a game with this team. Elliot made some good saves although I'd like to see their first as it was down the other end, that goal just seemed very easy all round.

Ref is driving me mad, freekicks for absolutely everything we do, but about 75% of what they do. Shola has had numerous sly knackings which have gone unpunished. The team is just...lopsided. So much talent in there but you've got Shola through the middle, Cisse sort of on the right. Marveaux playing in the hole really, Cabaye nowhere to be seen, Anita chasing around a lot and Sissoko wherever he wants. That Cristaldo is going to get a fucking hiding too, little shit.

Chelsea was at half 5 after the Thursday trip to Greece. In the Roeder days we played in Palermo on the Thursday then Sheff Utd at half 5 on the Saturday. Seem to remember something similar under SBR when we played Wolves away at lunch time on the Saturday after a European game but I can't remember who we played on the Thursday. They have the capacity to change it though - QPR/Spurs was due to be on a Monday night a few weeks back and it was moved into the Saturday 12.45 slot as QPR had a cup replay - I'd hope for something similar should we still be in the Europa

I'm surprised he's still got so much support, in the 15 months (ish?) that he's been in charge there's been one purple patch of good results and he spent a fair whack in the summer. Still though, it's refreshing that a manager isn't being hounded out and I guess you're well and truly midtable, 8 points from 7th and 8 points from the bottom 3.
