If Villa lose to Chelsea they'll probably need something at Wigan to be certain of staying up
-
Bit ridiculous that we've scored twice past these this season and neither was given purely because we haven't got modern technology in 2013.

It's going to be tight, aside from the obvious Wigan/Us/mackems and now Norwich conundrum, there's a few other sides who whould be nervous. If Stoke are going to lose to the mackems, you'd expect them also to lose at home to Tottenham next week. This means they'll be on 40 points going into the last day, away to Southampton. Southampton themselves are being tipped to lose to the mackems next weekend, so they will be stuck on 39 going into the last day of the season. The other outsiders are Fulham who are on 40 points but finish with Liverpool at home and Swansea away, so they could go into the last day of the season with the risk of going down. Wigan by that point should have 38 if, as expected, they beat Swansea but lose at Arsenal. Which leaves us on 38 with QPR away and Norwich on 38 with WBA to visit Carrow Road. I expect Norwich to beat WBA given how WBA crumbled today but who knows. Hopefully we can win at QPR, which would set up a very tasty last day where many teams could go down but I hope we don't need to rely on us beating Arsenal, as that just isn't going to happen.

Gouffy off for Gosling, fack me
-
Shola shoots wide and seems to be injured
-
Oh Gouffy...so unlucky
-
The fuck is going on
-
Starting to get pegged back now
-
I'm optimistic at the moment as that was decent but unfortunately that will sap away when Gouffran and/or HBA are subbed on 65 minutes for Shola and Perch, and the inevitable Wigan winner at the Hawthornes.

I love the table according to Lawro. QPR up in 7th ffs. And us 9th, somehow.
-
Had a dream last night that we were 0-0 on 90 minutes after being dicked on all game - then we had a random counter attack in injury time and Shola scored. Seems unlikely.

Flagrant is definitely Dekka's word of the week
-
I assume that was the day they got done for 7 at Everton, I'm glad to see us sharing the load these days
-
The irony of Ben Arfa being the only non-sulk would be too much
-
Did the predictor on BBC...had us finishing 17th on 40 points, Wigan 18th on 39. Our 3 points coming at QPR. Villa & Stoke in 16th and 15th on 40 also.

Two draws and that'll be them fine. Probably collude for a couple of draws. Assuming Southampton lose at Tottenham, if they were to lose to the mackems too then they'll go into the last day with a chance of going down (assuming Wigan get the points we expect). Might put a bit more on that game anyway.

After Gary Neville's analysis of our defending against Liverpool it's hard to justify picking Mbiwa at all for this, he couldn't handle Sturridge physically, nevermind for pace. Carroll will destroy him.
-
I don't fear Carroll as much as I do Nolan. Carroll probably wants to come back one day and has a lot to lose, Nolan will do anything to score. Yep i'm shit scared of Nolan, especially considering the space between our back 4 and midfield at the moment. He can have the ball in there all day, he's no threat outside the box

We were unbelievably fortunate that we had a core of players who stuck with us and brought us back up. I've no doubt if we went down this season, we'd need a whole new squad, as most of our current squad will be off. That said most of Wolves' squad have stayed by the looks of things, they're just rotten to the core.
-
On the bright side, we seem to play much better away from home than we do at home. Norwich are turbo shit really, just decently organised because they have no attacking threat. Wouldn't be at all surprised if you beat them
-
Problem is the mackems have 2 home games following tomorrow night. You'd back them to win at least one if not both - Stoke are pretty much safe now and Southampton have been for weeks. After tomorrow, Villa have a 6 pointer at Carrow Road next week then Chelsea at home before the showdown with Wigan. Not a nice run in - especially if they lose tomorrow. Norwich, a point better off than us, have Villa at home and then WBA at home - again, I suspect they'll win at least 1 of the 2 home games, although they are undeniably shit and struggle for goals. Which leaves us and Wigan. We've won 1 away game all year so there's no way we're winning both - Allardyce will no doubt beat us on Saturday but the QPR game is massive. Wigan will hopefully get turned over at WBA but I've no doubt Swansea will bend over for Martinez. They've been bending over for weeks now anyway. I've been quite confident we'd stay up for a while but can easily see us going down now, I'm a solid 9 on the relegationometer.

What was 1995 World Snooker Championship runner up Nigel Bond doing there? Enjoying a good safety battle?
