Same thing happened last season, looked like we were going to get to half time at 0-0 then it all went tits and they got 2. Same thing will probably happen here.

Yet Sissoko, Cisse, Saylor, Mbiwa, Cabaye, Anita and Jonas aren't ? I'm not having that. Look at Marveaux's fitness record. It's better now than it has been but why risk him here when we're going to chasing the ball all afternoon? Sissoko has looked knackered is his last couple of games for us, why not rest him. As for Marv's injury record, how far do you go to protect him then. If he's fit he plays 100 times out of 100 ahead of Obertan. When we have a Quarter Final in 5 days, I think he's worth protecting. Sissoko runs and commits people, which will be useful on the counter. Marveaux is more of a "foot on the ball" type of player which won't be tremendously useful today as we'll rarely have enough men forward to make it count. Surely Sissoko is the one you want to rest more by the styles you just discribed (and i agree with). To be honest it's more to do with fooking Obertan playing than anything else. Lack of alternatvies I guess. Obviously isn't keen on putting Anita or Perch at full back which would allow Jonas to play on the wing. -

The best thing he can do is play and get it over with. The longer he waits the worse it will be -
In the space of about 3 minutes England, Ireland, Wales & Northern Ireland all conceded. Shit.

Montenegro vs Ukraine in June when we have no qualification fixture is looking quite imporant. Considering Ukraine still have to play San Marino twice, think I'd rather Montenegro won to keep us in the running for 2nd
-
We had Crouch then though, people see that lanky bastard and just hoof it.

If Stoke are safe Pulis will throw the game for his mate. that gives them quite an advantage- still think even despite this they are still bad enough to go down worse team in the division imo. my head says tho-- a very tight escape for the jammy twats . edit- that said, I predict a full scale relegation campaign next season. Hopefully Stoke's recent form will lead to them being down there when that game rolls around. Can only see them winning 1 of their next 4 anyway

Who was it on here who won the WC with San Marino on FM? Might have been Sewelly

Did Dyer end up going to full-back that game? If so I am sure he was class. Think he might have done. Just remember losing him, Jenas and Bellamy to injuries that day, fairly certain we lost Woodgate not long after? He went to RB aye, Hughes & Woodgate into centre back after AOB red card. We lost Woodgate in the Chelsea home win a couple of games later

It is a good read but if you think of the bone cruncher's Anita put in on Thursday and Cabaye on Dembele I'm not sure we should be looking for sympathy. Granted, it's ridiculous that neither Haidara or ben Arfa even got a free kick but in a way that makes it worse - the ref has called a foul and thinks it's only a yellow - the same punishment for kicking the ball away, time wasting, taking your shirt off etc.

Just wasted half an hour on this old classic: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm Had us finishing on 40 points in 15th, Villa 18th, Wigan 17th and Stoke 16th. mackems were in the bottom 3 until their double home games against Southampton & Stoke saw them to safety. I was probably too generous to Wigan but I've backed them to be similar to the end of last season, I don't think I had Reading get another point (which is ridiculous) and we relegated QPR officially. Thought I was being harsh on Stoke but they have hard games, which could be fun.

Friggin hell, 14th-18th all have home games next, and we go here. Villa have Liverpool, the mackems have Man Utd, Southampton have Chelsea, West Ham have WBA and Wigan have Norwich. By the time we play Fulham, most of those teams will have played the previous day, could be a very tense atmosphere if we're right back in there. -

Football's always had an annoying little habit of evening things up. Anita could have broken the guy's leg on Thursday but was only given yellow, obviously two wrongs don't make a right and Halsey's inability to deal with it is disgusting but I think I'd have been more annoyed if he'd seen it and given only a yellow. It was a horror tackle. The winning goal is also a ridiculous decision on the handball but sometimes it's not your day. Cisse could have walked last week and ended up scoring the winner, they've slam dunked in a winner this week. I just hope it doesn't cost us, I'd like to think we've got enough on the board to be safe but those two home games are looking vital - and we've never faired well with back to back home games, let alone three in a week.
