Keeper has turned into Schmeichel now

Walcott's done well through the middle

Arsenal are like Stoke [/Gerrard]
-
Probably because he ran 30 yards to berate the linesman

Doesn't really explain why no doubt closed Gera down, at all. Well I've no idea why the 1990s Californian alternative rock band were even on the pitch tbh. How embarassing.

Was just a crap display from us really, time and time again we would have the ball and absolutely no options for a short pass so it would go long, yet when WBA had it they have 4 or 5 men available. Just felt like they had an extra player at times, HBA would get the ball and have 3 or 4 WBA players around him yet none of our players seemed to be free. Other times we just passed the ball 5 yards to their player which didn't help either. Thought Mulumbu was excellent for them, great at winning the ball but also keeping WBA ticking over and played a great ball through to Lukaku. Krul - Our man of the match for his saves from the 2 Lukaku one-on-one's. No chance with the goal and hesitant distribution. Simpson - Didn't do anything of note really, not sorry to see him get subbed as he offers nothing going forwards, as usual. Santon - Was great first half, and nearly scored. Second half he kept plugging away once switched to the right. Colo - Some good interceptions as per, struggled a bit against Long's pace. Once Long came on WBA's gameplan was to play it into the channels over and over again, pace isn't Colo's strong suit but he just about coped. Williamson - Bog standard Williamson performance, the whole defence was troubled by Lukaku so unfair to blame anybody individually really. Perch - Put himself about as usual, got booked which didn't help. Jonas - Graft but very little guile, less of a problem in CM. Cabaye - Quiet really, kept battling away but he's got very little to work with. HBA - Class first half, anonymous for a lot of the second. Was doubled up on for most of the game. Shola - A mixed bag, great ball in for Ba (header put wide) and flicked on for the goal but he's not cut out for 4-3-3 on the wing, or most football matches really. Ba - Took his goal well, must be sick of wrestling 2 centre backs. Cisse - Some good closing down, have no idea how he scored as I was in the Leazes but there you go. His second touch seems to be a tackle a lot at the minute. Obertan - This fucker has no brain. Actually got to the byline a few times but final ball was atrocious. Otherwise, couldn't pass 4 yards. Sammy - Actually wanted the ball which was useful, few decent runs but very inexperienced. Doubt his shot would have gone in had it not hit Cisse Fortunate to win but not complaining, I was impressed with WBA until Long came on and they just started playing the percentages. Long is annoying little twat.

Man and son in front of us left in the 92nd minute when Krul threw the ball to Santon, hope he heard the cheer from the car park

1 game, and it's their midweek cup match. Wahey
-
Pardew said that? Fucking hell.

A random thought I had whilst watching MOTD was...how mint would it be if Martinez was our manager and he played his mental 3-4-1-2 thing with our current squad? Assuming we won games before March like.

Newcastle United vs. West Bromwich Albion - 28/10/12 @ 3pm
Ashley17 replied to EthiGeordie's topic in Football
If he plays 4-4-2 Pardew is asking for a slating if we lose. Played 4-4-2 at SJP and lose 3-2 after being overrun all night. Switches to 4-3-3 at their place, easy win. It shouldn't even be up for debate for fuck sake, but it will be.. -
Stoke. Wilson got stretchered off just after half time
-
Getting really fed up of Cazorla not scoring
-
Maicon & Zabaleta are injured and even Milner is banned, no alternative I suppose.

A fairly uninspiring match, but I've been to worse. The 3 defensive midfielders was just appauling, I hope he never tries that again. I also hope he realises that once he went to 4-4-2 we found it difficult to win the ball, and that playing the formation against a passing side like West Brom will end in tears. Sammy was great for an hour then tired badly, Obertan actually beat his man, grafted and scored (not all at once), Ferguson was great, everybody else turned up. It was cold. Let's move on.
-
don't think we can actually We'll find a way
-
What irritated me a great deal was the ref pulling stuff back after he'd played advantage. How long can it go on for? There was a case where I think Cabaye had a hack at Johnson and failed, ref played advantage, Johnson tried to beat the next guy, crossed it, we cleared it, ref pulls it back for the Cabaye challenge. So how long does the advantage last?
-
I just meant they will lose a lot.
-
Would play: Krul - It's just good to have him back. If Elliot is fit I wouldn't be adverse to him playing but not Harper. There's just no point. S Taylor - Needs a game after injury Ferguson - Canny left back, deserves the chance to continue Williamson - Probably needs a rest but wouldn't play Perch if he's going to be the Tiote stand in. No need to risk Colo either. Anita - Needs a game, suppsoedly not keen on full back but fuck it, just do it. Bigi - Ideal in this sort of game Tiote - Going to be missing 3 Prem games so may as well utilise him here. Obertan - Bald. Sammy - Flying in training, apparently. Cisse - Confidence must be suffering after no minutes today Shola - Mr Europe
-
I was just looking at West Ham's fixtures as I was considering putting Noble in my fantasy team, they're in a for a serious ass forkin in the next few months
-
My worry for this guy is that we prefer Perch to him in the defensive midfield role. And Bigirimana too. Add to that he supposedly doesn't want to play fullback and you start to wonder why we didn't just spend the £8m on Debuchy
-
"Coco" and "the worst full back in the world" (Santon, allegedly) were excellent, which is pleasing. Unfortunately Tiote lived up to his reputation in their eyes.
