I just think all the boxes are ticked for a struggling team. Best player unsettled and performing poorly, previous best performers getting older, bad form at the end of previous season, signing David N'Gog, lose best player from previous season, good players injured. Obviously it's been a tough start but when players see themselves bottom of the table it's difficult to get over that mentality, and losing at home to Norwich won't have helped.

Coyle isn't a brilliant manager though. Glad you said it. Did well with Burnley but after a decent start with Bolton their form has mirrored Sunderland's more or less but with a decent cup run. Their squad is shit and only going to get worse when Cahill leaves. Davies has been their talisman for a while but can't go on forever, he's already 34 or something. Look at their team ffs, Reo-Coker, Gardner & Pratley in a central 3, Paul Robinson at left back. Do me a fucking favour.
