  1. My decision to fill my team with Baines, Cahill and Jo has 2/3 paid off
  2. No Jonas meant we had nobody to carry the ball in the first half, not that it would have changed our "lump it to Shola" gameplan.
  3. Getting really sick of Arsenal messing up my accumulators, I keep saying "they can't possibly mess up at home again" and yet here we are. For fuck sake.
  4. The kid is a f***ing animal, plain and simple. No doubt he's gotten away with it again as well? It was a fair challenge apparently, just "full blooded." Bollocks.
  5. Bolton 2 - 0 West Ham, bad news for us but I fancied Bolton to win today so not exactly shocked. One of those weekends where I don't mind too much what the other teams do as long as we fucking win.
  6. Nile Ranger and Samuel Adjei are now friends. Fitting in well
  7. Think of the compensation they'd get. We got £10m for Owen hurting his Knee for a few months, they'd get more than enough to strengthen adequately.
  8. I would laugh at Spurs but they blatantly aren't bothered.
  9. Good to see Chimbonda wearing his weekly wage (thousands) on the back of his shirt

    Players in public

no no, not the lounge...definately on grey st...name like the lounge The Lodge? What was once upon a time Johnny Ringo's? On Mosley St? That's Ant & Dec's bar isn't it?
  11. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,58790.0.html That thread was bumped on the same day, what were the chances.
  12. Aaron Hughes clearing the crossbar in the Champions League Qualifier (not to mention Shearer, Dyer and Woodgate all missing if I'm not mistaken) Dyer limping off in Lisbon. Bridges missing the one-on-one late on at home to Marseille first leg of the semi final.
  13. Nolan has 10 yellows but isn't on the suspension list, so who knows if he'll be involved. Assuming he is involved and there are no training injuries, I expect: Harper, S Taylor, Colo, Bassong, Enrique, R Taylor, Butt, Nolan, Duff, Shola, Lovenkrands Subs: Jonas, Martins, Viduka, Smith, Geremi, Cacapa, Krul/Forster. Reasons: Hughton will spout something about not wanting to change a winning team, so Jonas will get stuck on the bench. He can say Martins/Viduka (& Smith..) lack match fitness Duff & Butt are the coaching staff's love children S Taylor is a Geordie, y'na Only change from that I can see happening is R Taylor for Enrique and Jonas in on the right. Which is ridiculous on Enrique. I'd prefer we went for the sensible option of Ryan at right back, Jonas right wing (swapping with Duff after 5 minutes as usual) and Steven Taylor on the bench, but there's an argument that S Taylor has done well enough at right back to keep his place. But I'd also prefer it if Duff wasn't undroppable, ho-hum.
  14. Remebmer to take the NUFC player return constant into account: Expected Return Date + 2 Matches = Bench Return
  15. Aye but if NUFC has taught us anything it's for every two players you get back from injury you lose 3
  16. Tried for Elano too, interesting. "although we will be going back in the summer for certain individuals that we went for in the summer.” Clearly the Chronicle has read between the lines on that and assumed it means the 4 public bids.
  17. If someone really good was available I'd want him permanently, gives him 3 months to have a look at things and then the summer to go ape. Poor JFK though, he risked his health to try and keep us up.
  18. It is true by the way, just realised nobody's posted the link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7876467.stm
  19. Get well soon Joe Odd how it's gone from "he's fine don't worry about it" to "actually, he needs bypass surgery." Probably our physio's working on him. Wonder if Venables will get the call again?

    Nile Ranger

Christ, Xisco in the reserves. JFK being incapacitated has given that boy a new lease of life, considering there were some quotes knocking around not so long ago about him being unwilling to drop down to reserve level.
  21. Just the same as the eights for Lovenkrands and Ryan Taylor, then. Ameobi is rubbish, and was rubbish against the worst team in the league. Yeah but come on, 1's and 2's rubbish?
  22. Spurs who cried when Man Utd tried to tap Berbatov up when they spent all summer and subsequently all winter trying to unsettle players. Horrible club, horrible fans, horrible manager, horrible players, horrible chairman. Hope they go down on the last day following a Jenas own goal and a Dawson red card.
