  1. Probably been covered but why is Steven Taylor not expected to feature?
  2. All day I've heard people saying how sad they are about this (these are Newcastle fans) but I don't even feel a bit of sadness. Well done for being great for a club I don't like, thanks for all the miserable times and cheers for calling us a wee club.
  3. Has a point. It's a pitiful one though. You don't even need to start the argument about whether the Spurs squad is better than last year (no Modric and VDV, Kaboul out all season, Sandro out for months, Dempsey playing - although obviously we've bought some goodies), you just need to point out that we're probably going to finish with at least the same number of points, whilst being up against a vastly improved Liverpool, a better Everton, and a Chelsea that yet again spent a gazillion pounds. And a media that was desperate for AVB to fail at the beginning of the season. Quite apart from the fact that 'arry's a bit of a twat. Your own fans were desperate for him to fail, he was being booed as early as the third or fourth game (the Norwich draw). Fortunately somebody realised that wasn't productive and things have been much better ever since. Losing Sandro as you say seems to have been the biggest blow, Huddlestone is a decent footballer but he isn't cut out for the big games
  4. Really surprised that they've gone for someone with no Champions League experience (a qualifier aside). Interesting though, hope we're around in the Prem to see it unfold
  5. Wigan would have to lose to Swansea for that to happen I think Nah we'd have 41. Villa have 40. If Wigan beat Swansea but lose to Arsenal they have 38. It'll be Wigan vs Villa = Pardy time.
  6. I hope this wonderful man is right. Predicted Villa's last two wins. HE MUST BE RIGHT!
  7. Hopefully Norwich lose at home to WBA too, that'll be useful. Sunday is fucking huge
  8. If Wigan fail to beat Arsenal yes. That'll do.
  9. If Villa lose to Chelsea and we (somehow) win on Sunday, we're safe, I think?
  10. If Villa lose to Chelsea they'll probably need something at Wigan to be certain of staying up
  11. Bit ridiculous that we've scored twice past these this season and neither was given purely because we haven't got modern technology in 2013.
  12. It's going to be tight, aside from the obvious Wigan/Us/mackems and now Norwich conundrum, there's a few other sides who whould be nervous. If Stoke are going to lose to the mackems, you'd expect them also to lose at home to Tottenham next week. This means they'll be on 40 points going into the last day, away to Southampton. Southampton themselves are being tipped to lose to the mackems next weekend, so they will be stuck on 39 going into the last day of the season. The other outsiders are Fulham who are on 40 points but finish with Liverpool at home and Swansea away, so they could go into the last day of the season with the risk of going down. Wigan by that point should have 38 if, as expected, they beat Swansea but lose at Arsenal. Which leaves us on 38 with QPR away and Norwich on 38 with WBA to visit Carrow Road. I expect Norwich to beat WBA given how WBA crumbled today but who knows. Hopefully we can win at QPR, which would set up a very tasty last day where many teams could go down but I hope we don't need to rely on us beating Arsenal, as that just isn't going to happen.
  13. I'm optimistic at the moment as that was decent but unfortunately that will sap away when Gouffran and/or HBA are subbed on 65 minutes for Shola and Perch, and the inevitable Wigan winner at the Hawthornes.

    LOL at Lolro

I love the table according to Lawro. QPR up in 7th ffs. And us 9th, somehow.
  15. Had a dream last night that we were 0-0 on 90 minutes after being dicked on all game - then we had a random counter attack in injury time and Shola scored. Seems unlikely.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Flagrant is definitely Dekka's word of the week
  17. I assume that was the day they got done for 7 at Everton, I'm glad to see us sharing the load these days
