I would definitely start him because he's our best defender. I'd drop Taylor but all this talk about experience and the fact that we're up against Carroll will see Pardew dropping MYM. What we have going for us if Rafa was a serious candidate is that his kids are still in England and he has apparently rejected multiple offers from abroad because he wants to live and work in England. Then if you take a look at all the teams that could feasibly attract him next year, there's maybe Arsenal if they let Wenger go which is very unlikely, then there's us. The rest of the top ten this year won't need a new manager and every other club wouldn't be able to offer the platform that we could offer him. I think there isn't a way that Llambias gives him enough control of transfers that we're able to get him, but if you look at his options apart from us knowing the constraints that he's imposed, there's not many other clubs out there. I actually could see Madrid getting him if Mourinho goes because they have long had a hard on for him and he's had long term links with people at the club.

I think it's a virtual guarantee that Ben Arfa starts this.

Let's go 4-4-2, Colo back in for Taylor, Sissoko and Cabaye in the middle, Jonas and Ben Arfa as wingers and Gouffran and Cisse up front. If there's better option for Jonas then it'd be great. Cabaye sits deep ala Carrick and Sissoko supports the front two.

It's worrying that there aren't any rumours of who's coming in. They had Pardew lined up for weeks before they sacked Hughton and when they sacked Allardyce, they made quick moves. Llambias strikes me as the type that will have someone else lined up. The fact that there haven't been any rumours leads me to believe that they don't have anyone lined up yet and they'll let Pardew see out the season.
