How much are you down this season? Excluding the Euros.

That's not what the success of the paywalls behind NY Times, FT and The Times says, though. What is the proper business model for online papers? Ads? They don't make enough from ads. Unless you want serious journalism to disappear and for us to be left with nimrods like Ryder then guys like Caulkin should be supported. This site is very influential and can actually get people to subscribe if they linked the articles in a different way. If the article is free then they still want hits. If you don't want to give them hits then don't bother reading the articles. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Link an excerpt or something. But if an article is behind a paywall then it should really be linked in a different way.

It was free to view on that site, which had ads and other things. It wasn't free to be copied and posted elsewhere in perpetuity. If you ask Caulkin whether he'd like a bigger audience, he would definitely say yes, but also tell him that he'd be paid much less and I'm guessing the answer will quickly turn to no. He's being paid well by The Times because he's a good writer who generates hits for them. Anyway, it's not a big deal. I just think it's bad form if you post articles that are behind a paywall. The guy is paid to write for that site only. It's not a free article like the trash that Ryder and Edwards write.

I don't think you should link articles that are meant to be behind a paywall. It's not good form.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. This could be one of the best features on NUFC in the Ashley era. Instead, it's chopped into pieces for clicks. The state of journalism is shocking. Yup. Give this to someone like Posnanski or even Simmons and this would be one hell of a good read. Instead Ryder completely fucked it up.

The Life and Times of 'Entertaining' Mario Balotelli
Taylor Swift replied to Ketsbaia's topic in Football
He has all the physical attributes: power, pace, acceleration, technique. That's why people gush over him. He just needs to put it together. People always love potential and he has as much potential as anyone else in world football. -
Bernard, Elliot and Beresford were the 3 in my mind, feel free to disagree. I do agree outside of those 3, Enrique and Santon they have been terrible. Rubbish again.
-
Complete rubbish. Do you even watch their games?

The insurance company will be paying for his wages during his injury.

It was a clear foul leading up to the goal. How the ref and the assistant missed it is baffling.
-
Abysmal refereeing.

He made one stupid tackle on Oscar. He was fine the rest of the match and certainly affected their attacking game by pressing high up and forcing their midfielders to defend by pushing forward when having the opportunity to attack. It was a modern day fullback's performance. He was solid. When he gets used to this league, he'll be even better.
-
You're kidding. He was very solid defensively and his pressure caused them lots of trouble.

I think you're being a bit optimistic. Hopefully we'll be able to win the rest of our home games, and sneak a few points away, which should leave us with 45-50 points, finishing around 9th or 10th. When we win a couple more matches, our priority should immediately be the Europa League. We have a good shot at winning it when Ben Arfa comes back. The league is pretty much over for us when we're certain that we won't be relegated but this season can still be as good as last if we prioritise the Europa.

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe

The similarities to Bellamy are off the charts. We have a real player on our hands now. -
Ben Arfa's better but this guy is brilliant too.
