Get in Nile lad, now come on lads just keep it steady till the last minute then let them score so i can win my bet!!!
-
broke one of my betting rules tonight and put us in my acca. also stuck £3 on Shola first goal and us to win 2-1.
-
yes. Can understand the logic of putting Butt in the side, more defensive in the middle while playing with 2 proper wingers. I wouldn't have played him mind but i'm not the manager!
-
its in tonight chronicle as well now. says no weapons were used but arrested on suspicion of assault and actual bodily harm and bailed pending further investigations.

Got to agree with Spence when it comes to Triosi & Pattison, triosi was never going to be a premiership footballer and while coming through the ranks Pattison was the better player, although Matty didn't really cut it in the first team, at the time he got into the first team it was on the back of some very good form in the reserve side, although that was in his favoured central midfield position whereas is appearances for the first team were mostly on the left wing.

Souness ruined the team Ashley has ruined the whole fucking club!!
-
is spear that much of a miss ? thought he had only broke through and looked very much a boy against men even at youh level.(i'm told) I haven't really seen enough of him to judge, suppose Obichris would be the one to ask as he's seen him more than me but bearing in mind we were so short of forward players he'd have come i handy tonight. Our hopes of a good run could be hinged on Inman keeping fit, especially until Vukcic is fit again, not sure when the next round is but hopefully it'll be a home tie.
-
i know it took us extra time to win it, but thats a good win from the lads bearing in mind we were missing so many forward players, Vukcic, Spear, Ameobi and Airey all missing. We even had Tavernier(a right back) playing on the right side of a front 3 at the start and centre forward at the start of the second half!
-
yes lets hope so. Do you know if he's a forward or midfielder, looking at the squad thats been picked i'm doubting he's a defender as the squad seems full of them!!
-
no idea who that is on the right but its not Tavernier. I was basing my assumption that Remie was close to 6ft from what i was told but i guess either could be him, plus the middle looks younger he could be either tbh, i've never seen the lad play so have no idea what he like, just went off my nephew who said he was a good player.
-
no idea who that is on the right but its not Tavernier.
-
Not your fault Binnsy got it wrong tbh i just knew him as Remi! :-)
-
true but i put Woody in as he is the best defender i've seen for NUFC and i think he managed a bit more than 30 games think he played 36 games.
-
yes but i didn't really think someone playing 30 games justifies selection into a team of the decade!
-
Exactly!! They should play it at SJP with a 1215 kick off!! perfect pre match entertainment, watc the youth team beat the mackems!!
-
Big game on Wednesday night as well we are in FA youth cup action away at Doncaster, with it being an important game followed by the derby i can't understand why we are playing the Northumberland senior cup game on Tuesday. Not sure if i'm going yet, all depends on the weather, i'm not going if its freezing and pissing down!! At least they've got the kick off at 11am so people have plenty of time to then get to town to watch the Watford game. Should be goo as we're on a decent unbeaten run at the minute
-
lol Barry Moat isn't buying NUFC
-
i was thinking that myself, it was him, Titus or O'Brien!!!

my 3 teams(80's, 90's and noughties) would be as follows, only picked one player in one team so Beardsley is in the 80's side and Sheare is in the 00's side. All 3 sides look strong, 80's front 5 are tremendous, then you've the entertainers minus Beardsley and then Sir Bobby's team. 80's team Beasant Anderson Roeder Jackson Wharton McCreery Terry Mac Waddle Gazza Beardsley Keegan 90's team Pav Venison Howey Albert Beresford Gillespie Clark Lee Ginola Cole Ferdinand Was a tight call between Clarky and Batty but i used to love Clarky and put him in on his superb form in our promotion to the PL. 00's team Given Beye Woodgate Taylor Bernard Solano Speed Dyer Robert Shearer Bellamy

It's all about opinions, but I think littering the streets is anything but petty and I'd expect an organisation which wants to be taken seriously and take over one of the biggest football club brands in the world to have a bit more off than handing out leaflets which anyone with half a brain knows just get thrown away by most people. I hate litter ! I thought NUST were trying to take over Newcastle United, who last time i looked are currently a 2nd division club in England not Barca, Man U, Juventus or one of the other biggest clubs in the world.
-
haha i used to love that song, that would get played and there'd be thousands of people doing a little jig/dance all over the ground.
-
Sounds good, any idea what its called, author etc? Mad Mick(DJ from Beyond, used to be in idols) has done the book but think he's put it together from stories collected from fans sending in there stories, bit like this thread really! its called Black & White daft - Newcastle fans terrace tales 1979-1894.
-
Noticed yesterday that there's a new book coming out in the next few days(might even be on sale now) based on fans stories/memories of supporting NUFC in the 80's!!

For anyone with any queries or questions for NUST just seen this on there website, they are holding a supporter surgery(strange name for it!) before the Swansea match upstairs in the irish club..... In line with NUST's "More than a Trust" document, we will be running our first Supporter Surgery on Saturday before the Swansea Game. Similar to those ran by MP's, the surgery is for supporters to meet with the Trust and air any individual problems that they have or present any ideas that the Trust can then go away and talk to the Club to try and resolve these issues. The surgery will take place on the 2nd Floor of The Irish Centre and there will be someone present from the Trust from 1-2.30pm
