He wants to go, we might as well get the best price possible - regardless of who is in for him.

Can't see it mentioned Read More http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/05/27/joey-barton-will-be-in-alan-pardew-s-squad-61634-28772916/#ixzz1NXSmxL1D

Bit different when Pique/Puyol are both Spanish and mates with Cesc. I don't honestly think that makes a difference at all. I'm just simply saying if Fabregas was our player or if we were in a similar situation with any of our own, we wouldn't like it at all.

No he's right, if for example Gerrard and Carragher did that stunt with a picture of Jose Enrique.. it wouldn't go down well on here. That's not even factoring Barcelona's public pursuit of Fabregas.
-
Although saying that, it's a perfect time to do one of these interviews, the seasons over and there is a whole transfer window still to come
-
Oh, this sounds like it will get interesting.

It's standard practice for the Spanish

Barton is relatively easier to replace to be honest. The real problem is, who next? Coloccini? Nolan? That would be devastating. I would say Barton is harder to replace than Nolan. The latter has simply had a freak season, was reading some player stats for the year yesterday, and at one stage he had 16 shots on goal and from that - had 10 goals to his name, that level of strike rate is simply unsustainable... would obviously love for him to keep that up, but unlikely IMO.

Your not allowed to criticise Barcelona around these parts.

So it's the club's fault they don't want to pay Barton he think he is worth, sounds like you prefer the Freddy Shepherd style of offering ridiculous wages to players (to which Barton was the last of them). No he wasn't. Who was? Barton was signed while Shepherd was here. He was the temporary chairman until Chris Mort learnt the ropes, Mike Ashley had the club ownership so was ultimately responsible for the Barton signing.

How exactly is that way of doing things a benefit to the club, and help push us up the table, seems counter productive to say the least.
-
No.. but when you see that he had a transfer for £80,000 3 years later, it suggests he wasn't up to much back then
-
He is absolutely not dubbed the new Didier Drogba True Didier Drogba was actually a nothing player at 21.
-
I have read recently that he was 5th or 6th in the total key passes stat, out of everyone in the league. So by no means is he easily replaceable.
-
Hopefully Sunday was the last time we will ever have to see him play for us again.
-
If they get Hiddink then it's a good decision imo.
-
That was a clinical finish by Owen
-
Are you trying to convince us or yourself with this ramble? It is just baseless assumptions fueled by an obvious agenda.
-
If that figure of 4 million is true, I believe we should take a gamble on him. Him fully fit and wanting to play football, is worth at least 3 times that amount.

Brett Emerton was 2001/02 when he was at Feyernoord IIRC We was interested from then.. until the time he eventually signed for Blackburn. So I wouldn't say SBR was genuinely happy with his squad that year.

Except Brett Emerton
