I agree with all those who only want him on loan. He is a good player, but he is on the downward slope of his career. Spurs fan's don't seem to rate him too highly anymore, bring him in on loan and avoid shelling out a biggish figure, seems the smartest move.

He's always been strong as an ox. His passing was much more suspect but along with Bassong he was our best player in the relegation season. He was brushed off the ball very easily for a number of games, there was a reason why he got his reputation. Nah, it's not delusional, it's a matter of opinion. FWIW I never criticised Enrique, he wasn't as good as he is now but he never deserved much stick. It was never his fault granted, just people on here removing it from history when there was a point where it looked like he was going to flop big time. That's where the stick came from, only its carried on into the two seasons since then when he has become our best player IMO. Why not just go through the earlier pages of this thread.. if you think that's the case?

His first season he was very inconsistent, but that was always to be expected, we didn't buy him to be the finished article. Glad he has developed into the player he is now.

Nah it wasn't a like for like comparison. More he has similar speed getting around the pitch, when they aren't scoring they are both kind of anonymous, and are both better in the final third of the pitch then anywhere else.

I would say he is more like Lampard personally, give him 10 penalties this season, I'm sure he will reach about 16 league goals.

Nowhere near international quality IMO but if he gets a call up fair play. Dunne is no mug, lets be honest. I'm sure he's good enough to trouble the best that Switzerland, Bulgaria, Wales and Montenegro can muster in terms of center backs.
