  1. Is quickly becoming our best central defender, has made a really impressive start in the Premiership.
  2. "...Damien Duff calls upon all of his skills to trick his way past Patrice Evra on the halfway line on the right and he finds Bobby Zamora.." Is BBC Sport playing tricks with me? or did that really happen?
  3. The whole Giggs POTY was simply ridiculous - your right it was completely media driven, but tbf to Scholes - he has started the year superbly.
  4. Didn't happen. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,67405.msg2180912.html#msg2180912
  5. He was awesome today. Doesn't mean clowns can come on and say "told you so" in a smug way. f***ing hindsight eh! Carroll has been poor for a long time. Did well last season but scoring a hat-trick doesn't make him a legend and change the past season's in a tick. So your smugness is retarded. He was fantastic today though and long may it continue. But get real By saying he has been poor for a long time, shows that your pretty clueless. I'm delighted for the lad, just he got some way OTT stick last year.
  6. Amazing to think that people on here wanted a Carroll - Beckford swap deal in January.
  7. ..and to think some on here thought he was never going to be good enough for the Premiership. So pleased for the lad. Arguably our best player.
  8. A defensive midfielder is more important then a creative attacker in our situation.
  9. If Chelsea had Harewood instead of Drogba they would be winning by now.
  10. Xisco? By all accounts he was rubbish when he returned to Spain last year. So what exactly has he done to deserve a start? Even Nile Ranger has done more to warrant one.
  11. Nothing club then what are we? I think we all dislike them, but don't be daft.

We can't afford his loan/transfer fee and wages apparently. So i guess the state of our finances is related to him after all.

The money has gone to reduce our operating loss. operating loss to which he's responsible for (i.e. giving players like colocino 85k a week for example) and it was his mistakes that got the club relegated! So how does that support the argument that he can afford to spend money exactly?

Mate, I can see you've been pushing this for a couple of days, but folk just don't seem to get it. I do btw. The club isn't making profit, just look at the accounts - and we just spent a year in the Championship with all those players you listed with high salaries. He did that because, in theory, we should stay up with these players.

It was widely accepted on this forum - that he was putting in £20 million a year - of his own wealth - into the club a year. I think IIRC the clubs accounts proved this too. Since then we have had relegation and a worldwide recession. Now if that nugget of info was accepted (20 mil a year) as fact here last time around - how are we better financially now? Surely we would be in a worse state right?

Fact remains that we still haven't sign him and if we don't Ashley has proven to be a massive c***, that still remains, The fact also remains that if we do sign him then he will be a legend again, untill the next player people on here want doesn't turn up, then he's that fat Cockney b****** that won't open his wallet. I don't know who is more hated on here, Mike Ashley or the Tories. Ashley could pour in millions, win us the league, FA Cup and everything else on offer, and Cameron could give you all £50k a year tax free, a job for life etc and you would all be able to still hate them both. People on here need to f***ing grow up, it's no good going round hating Ashley for not siging the player you want, and it's no good hating Cameron for leading a party who did things 20-30 years ago that you didn't agree with. Eh?
  17. Just out of idle curiousity with yourself being foreign can give the discussion another perspective.. How do you rate the TyneWear derby on a worldwide scale? Bigger than the fierce rivalries in Brazil? Or the Roma derby?
  18. read it before, absolute bollocks it is! the tyne wear derby has to be right up there and it's one the oldest as well How exactly? To be put on that list would be embarrassing compared to the others. and how would it be embarrassing, sunderland and newcastle are two clubs known throughout the footballing world! lazio's history is nowhere near that of our club and that of sunderlands You are now saying that Newcastle vs Sunderland is a bigger worldwide occassion then the Roma derby? yes, newcastle v sunderland is watched right around the world you know, seem's like you've inherited the Ruud Gullit gene of derby matches! staggerring. so i'm guessing you find nufc v sunderland a small match then? i think your view of the world to be quite limited if you think that only the UK watches this match It is, in relation to those rivalries. Corinthians is the biggest team in Brazil btw. Also how about you educate yourself a little with the Lazio and Roma rivalry, that is more then football. To think that the TyneWear apparently eclipses it - now that is a limited view on the world tbh. then you don't know the history of the rivalry between the city's of newcastle and sunderland then! the two cities have always been rivals, they used to be rivals for ship building work which exsisted all the way to the late 1950's! our's is much more than a football match Maybe they should have put us above Celtic and Rangers in that case?
