The 2011-2012 Betting Thread: Last call for 2011/12 football, pretty much
davy_fulla replied to Stu's topic in Football
Just looking at Liverpools home record: Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts Rank Home Record 9 3 6 0 11 7 4 1.22 0.77 1.66 15 7 Not brilliant but still undefeated. Given our abysmal record at Anfield over the years I'd be crazy on backing us to win. That said we're right in the middle of silly b****** season so I'm havbing a tenner on us to win and a tenner on the draw (as a partial backup). -

Really undecided what to go for tonight. No sign of those 7/1 prices mentioned for us to win. All seem to bet at 5/1 now. On the plus side though I've just logged into my WillHill account to find I've been refunded £20 from a bet about 2 months ago which I knew nothing about. Free bet tonight in theory -

Even if it was us 4-2 up it would have been a pointless move. The bloke's lost it man -

Although in reality we never expected a point from Man City, Man U and Chelsea I always had the fear that our heads would drop after taking a kicking in those games. Hope this isn't the start of an almighty slump. -

fucking hate delia smith -
Legend man. Loved the game..probably too much. Could have turned out so much better. I know he's saying he's clean now but u always tho.k he's just in remission and will hit it again soon. Hope I'm wrong!
-
Aye he's making an absolute dick of himself tbh.

Will miss him playing for us but he's been a prick airing things on Twitter. I can't stand the fact that so many people on Twitter and facebook feel the need to live their life through them. It's bad enough when some of those mates you've got on Facebook come out with stuff like 'somebody has really hurt me. Hope ur happy' Who gives a fuck you attention seeker! Yeh joey's working under a right bunch of wankers but speak to your friends and family about things ffs.

Absolutely hate twitter and can't see the point of it at all. The rumor that started on it last night about Titus being killed in a car crash in LA cemented my loathing of it.

At the minute alcohol is legal but still frowned upon. The only 'bar' I bothered with when we were there a couple of months ago was in the hotel. It's illegeal to be drunk in public as well. It's obviously more liberal than Saudi but not compared to Bahrain where they couldn't care less. I definitely think it's a strange choice having it in an Islamic country where the laws are so strict compared to the rest of the world but I suppose FIFA are organising a tournament not a piss up. Thats a good job, FIFA couldn't organise a piss up in a Brewery. Haha, like it. Must be tired because I didn't see it coming. -

Tournament should = piss up tbh. I'm still angry like. 2 worst possible choices man Fully agree mate just trying to understand FIFA's thought process. Just seem like weird decisions both of them. Gonna start the conspiracy theories now by suggesting that FIFA gave it to Russia to revive their f***ed economy and national morale, and that they gave it to Qatar due to a brown envelope handed over on the golf course by some corrupt Arab in an attempt for them to show off to their other Arabic neighbours. It could well possibly be true you know. Wouldn't surprise me mate. The only reason the last company I worked for got a job in Saudi was due to a golf course meeting our chairman had with the Saudi boss. I've posted it before on here but I was shocked to find that most of the employees on the payroll of the Saudi company I was contracted to didn't actually work for them at all. They had friends in high places who were more than willing to add them to the payroll and accept these envelopes as well lol. I suppose it happens over here as well but to nowhere near the extent I saw it happen over there. Just wondering when Ramadan and the Eid holidays are in 2022? They'll have to change the World Cup dates if it clashes. -

Just in from work. Is the game on the radio? Thought radio newcastle would have had it. -
Apparently so.... http://www.mysalary.co.uk/average-salary/Train_Driver_3139 "Many drivers earn in the region of £70k with overtime, particularly at Intercity or freight depots." Reet that's it I'm changing jobs!

Sheffield Wednesday 2-2 Newcastle United - 26/12/09 - post match from page 11

There were 4 of us sat in a pub in Sheffield yesterday watching the game. Everything was good natured until we took the lead. A gang of local dickheads suddenly decided they didn't want us in their pub and turned on us. The landlady was having none of it and kicked them all out which was spot on from her tbh. We weren't taking the piss but these wankers couldn't handle the fact they were losing. I know I can't tar all sheff wed fans with the same brush but things like that definitely help form an opinion of a clubs fans. Arseholes. -
You can only buy them in the club shop. It was the woman in the club shop at the ground tha told him that apparently. He tried the other club shops as well but no joy. I had a look at the online club shop and it looks like they've only got the kids or the long sleeved ones.

Has anyone heard anything about our 3rd strip? The dad-in-law has been trying everywhere to get one and has heard that they aren't making anymore. It's news to me like.

Loved that Bobby Robson quote. I'd never heard that before but it's special that. Almost Churchillian.

Not long back from the game. I've really got to stop going to away games as I've never seen us win one yet. Aside from the game who was that idiot in the meadow lane dancing on the pool table fully naked 4 or 5 times? Everyone laughed at first but these turned to boos when it all became a bit embarrasing.
