another season over already, well that was fun while it lasted!

Can't believe he has actually gone, but lets face it after what happened on tuesday it was only a matter of time. Lets just see who we bring in, no doubt this story will be dragged on for a long time to come. As supporters we just have to say the life goes on. Thanks KK for leaving some foundations there, I just hope whoever we get next isn't some numptie thats not done it before (like Curbishley, etc). We don't want another Fat Sam!!!!

Top notch heh? Don´t you think that´s a bit over the top. The only one who arguably has been exceptional has been Jonas. Collocini is clearly adapting and is of proven quality so will hopefully come good, the other two are merely promising and shouldn´t even be in our first team at the moment.. For the amount we have spent and who we really could buy, then yes I'd say they are top notch. Guthrie and Bassong are great prospects, the Argies look great to me so far. Not saying they are world class but they great signings for us. Question really is what was Wise's involvement... and how much that will be missed.

I guess we won't really no the impact of (and if) Wise has gone until the next window. From what we've seen of the new signings, 4 look like top notch players... getting rid of Milner for £12m was brilliant business IMO and the proposed £3m for Smith would have been equally as good. Yes we needed a few more players, but as to why thats not happened is anyone guess. But if Wise going was required for Keegan to stay then it had to happen. The club will implod if keegan left and we would really be starting from scratch. The next few days and week will be very interesting in what is revealed.

Bring back Chris Mort. You beat me to it! Its all gone wrong since he left!!!

I think KK has quit, and they are hoping they can talk him around still. Though I can't see him changing his mind. At least thats the only reason i can think of right now.

Hang on, am i missing something... aren't we still very much in the hunt for an Intertoto place? Everyone seems to be saying the season is over, but I thought so as long as we are the highest place team to have applied and 3 places below the UEFA cup spot we would get it. At the moment it looks like we have to finish ahead of Blackburn (and be in the top 10) to get it? I know we need Bolton, Everton and Tottenham to take the automatic places, but that is still quite likely. Or is there something obvious I am missing?

Same here. He's just a white Amday Faye. Hell, I'm expecting us to buy him back for £3m now.

You know the guy on SSN was laughing at this too. Complete fuc*ing joke. This day just can't get any worse. We could of had Malbranque for a million more. Arrgghhh! Roeder better get this one right!! :wullie:

Boro chairman just confirmed live on SSN that Viduka is staying at Boro. If the day ends with just Milner leaving I'm gonna be completely gutted.

On his Newcastle World interview he said that Luque pulled out himself saying he had back problems, he seemed to be having a dig at him too when he said just before that other players wouldn't of done what Ameobi did.

£10m? payment next summer? A serious bargain there, he is worth more than that! Please Glenn! Take the gamble, get him here!

And if it is Glen I'd rather this be announeced at the end of the season, or just before the Chelsea game.
-
It was on Sky News about 15 mins ago... I'm a bit stunned. bluedead.gif Not too happy tbh. Just don't think he is the manager to get us back in the top 4. I have no doubts he'll do better than Souness, but I see that as us finishing 6th-8th next season. Can't see him being given a lot of money to spend either... so Luque and Boumsong will probably sent away for 1/3 of what we paid for them. Oh well, what ever happens we just have to support him and hope it all works out.

The Brum game is so important for us. We will be playing before Blackburn (who kick off at 5.15pm) and Bolton (play Sunday), so if we win we'll be putting so much pressure on them to do the same. But the game itself is a must win for Brum as they are already 2 points behind pompey... they could be relgated if they don't beat us. I think that will make this harder than the Chelsea game.

I don't rate him at all. Reckon West Ham will be just another midtable team with him... though it will be interesting to see how far he can take them in the uefa cup next year.
