  1. Is it only 1 match each this year? Thats a bit lame! Last year BBC had 3 and sky had 1 if I remeber correctly, which was quite good as you could end up watching like 3 matches in one day!
  2. Can't believe they booed them off, despite going top of the league!! Brilliant set of results for Man Utd this week.... still think Chelsea the team to beat though, they just need to sort out their home form.
  3. Umer

    He's back?

Whatever we said, whatever we did, we didn't mean it! We just want you back for good! ps. shocked no one had pulled that one, and: how awesome would it be if that song would be sung at SJP?
  4. only 3 all premiership matches... think ours should be the pick of them.
  5. Exactly, no reason we can't get a draw there to bring it back for a replay.
  6. JFK keeps changing his mind where the players he wants are coming from. So we've had the premier league, serie A and now its the dutch league! Whats next? The SPL?!? Lets just hope he's trying to confuse the media.... but rather than doing that he could just keep his trap shut!! I remember him saying how important he though Barton was for the team, which makes me think he knows we need an ACM. The worry is he thinks Barton is the man for the job and just waits for him to get fit.
  7. Agree with king_kev, would love to see 4-3-3 back but think he'll pick that 4-4-2 you've gone with (duff back in for N'Zogbia). From the sounds of things, N'Zogbia didn't have the greatest of games yesterday... but it will interesting to see if he gives him one more chance to prove himself. Ameobi might be back too, wonder if he'll get any game time now Viduka is back? We have to win this, simple as that. If we can't beat Stoke at home then we certainly deserve to be in the position we are in.
  8. Think we'll get a team we've already played this season... man city at home is my guess. Fingers crossed we get a lower league team at home.
  9. I've supported JFK quite a lot lately, even with taking off Martins yesterday. But if he changes this back 4 next week it would be criminal.
  10. Nah I think he'll be on the bench for at least one more game. Owen & Martins got more chance of working as a partnership at home anyway.
  11. Glad to see a settled back four is doing the side good. But only a point puts a lot of pressure on us to get all 3 points next week, if we mess that up we'll be in real trouble.
  12. Has Owen done much? Has been dropping off like in the chelsea game?
  13. Enrique's given the ball away twice already.... heopfully just needs to settle down a bit
  14. We need some big performances from Jonas and the Zog if we are going to get goals today. Guthrie and Butt will probably just sit and defend.
  15. Was getting worried about beye being out... best team we could hope for! Having viduka to come off the bench is a massive bonus too! Come on lads!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If beye is out surely it would be Taylor at RB?!? Either way thats a major problem for us, we seem to get injuries every week now....
  17. Interesting results. Glad the majority of the supporters can see if we can't sell the club he is going to stay, and the best way to get him to back the club with more money is to back him.
  18. Hmm, a thoughts occurred - has Owen ever played a UEFA match for us? Nope.
  19. I'd be amazed if he signs a new contract and I'm sure his agent is already going around to see if anyone is interested. Liverpool need strikers, with Torres looking injury prone, I think they will come in with £5m to sign him in Jan. They are actually in the title hunt this year, and Owen is eligble for Europe, so its not going to be wasted money for them.
  20. I'm really surprised by the reaction of a lot on here. What were you expecting to happen? For him to stay on a rolling contract? Even if we do get new owners before the end of the season, they were unlikely to bring someone new in until the summer anyway. And even if they did want to get rid of JFK, it was hardly going to break the bank considering it would have been what 4 months pay or something? Lets just get behind him now. We do actually have an ok team, and in this premiership season anything is possible, so lets just support them.
  21. I know I'm gonna get shot down for this but......As long as we don't get too many injuries and we at least keep the players we have we won't go down. Relax people, give the guy a chance....
  22. Well this was always going to happen, wasn't it? At least we now have a bit of stability until the end of the season, and will mean he has a bit more control in the window. Maybe now sort out a few of the player contracts too?
  23. Seriously though, this could mean Viduka might get a few minutes game time too which would be good!
  24. He's obviously just not seen him play recently!
  25. They cost money, who knows how much is going to be made available, either with Ashley here or any potential new owners. If there was money to replace Shola and the other players who's contracts are running out, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Agree 100%, and until we know there is any money available we can't afford to get rid of players as we might not be able to replace them. The two of you are off your head. The last thing we should be doing if money is thight (which would be a disgrace, but that's another matter) is handing out contract extension to players who have proven themselves over years and years to not be good enough.. If we apply that logic to our club we would end up with a squad of about 6 players. Exactly. Yes in a perfect world we would get rid of shola, but unless we are in a position to actually bring in a player to replace him with we should keep him on for an extra year at least. Ofcourse Ranger and other youngesters should be given their chance, but what happens if they're aren't any good?
