  1. It was 2-1 at half time. Hell of a collapse.
  2. I thought there an issue that if he plays for Everton again they have to pay Spurs a silly amount of money.
  3. I was thinking how we took so much time to make our moves for things like our CEO, CFO and sporting director but Man Utd are just hiring people from everywhere. Our way is frustrating at times, but I feel like it's more likely to lead to consistent success. What Man Utd are doing seems wreckless and poorly thought out. Hopefully it blows up in their face.
  4. Tim "South American Football Expert" Vickery said he's a similar sort of player to Bruno.
  5. If the papers have gotten wind of it, I feel like it wouldn't be too difficult for us to gather evidence too. It's almost certainly nonsense though.
  6. No, it has come from a misunderstanding of a tweet someone made suggesting what they thought would be an improvement to FFP.
  7. Is the 2023 because there others haven't started their accounts yet? So we might be 8th behind Villa when they release their accounts?
  8. I hope there was a quote from his manager about how out of character it was.
  9. And the commentator says 'got to be on the brink of a red'. Yup, absolutely borderline that one.
  10. Pogba's been banned from football for 4 years. Must be his career over?
  11. Wasn't just on hear. It was something that was going around in the media a bit too. I remember Talk Sport doing a bit on who was better.
  12. Net spend is a bollocks stat without context. Bournemouth got into the PL with a bunch of players that were with them from division 2. They're not going to be able to sell them to reduce their net spend. The players they spend money on would take time before being sold for profit. For example, sell Solanke now and it would balance out a lot of what they spent. It's like us now. We can't balance our expenditure by selling players because most our players are Ashley era players and aren't worth anything. The only ones worth anything we can't afford to sell.
  13. Feyenord fans seemed negative about the loan from the beginning (a bit like we would if we loaned a youth player from one of the big 6) so not sure if that is colouring their view a bit. Certainly his numbers are really good. He's got 5 goals and 2 assists from about 800 minutes of play time. His FBref profile puts him in the 90th+ percentile for Attacking Mids/Wingers in most the major metrics. Admittedly though the stats indicate his passing is terrible. Still, it seems strange that Feyenord fans think him so poor given that.
  14. Our signings were almost certainly better when Eddie had greater control over transfers (the first two windows). I don't think you can blame Tonalis gambling addiction or Barnes' turf toe on Eddie either and I'm not sure where else the money has been wasted.
  15. We're 2.5 seasons into the new ownership. We'll get there but it'll take time. It'll be two steps forward one step back, but we'll still overtime get there.
  16. There was a bit of agro between him and our owners wasn't there? I'm sure there were claims he wasn't impressed with our owners and turned the job down, but then Ghodoussi came out saying he was never offered the job.
  17. He'll definitely remember his time at Newcastle as Bitter Sweet.
  18. It was rumoured to be £5m, plus obviously we had to wait six months gardening leave.
  19. How are they making it out like this Diaz one is a bigger penalty shout?
  20. Incredible that penalty wasn't given.
  21. Just to note, I wasn't being serious.
  22. Really, we should be having special Sandro Tonali exhibition matches. Make him earn his money.
  23. He can play in friendlies. He was only banned from competitive matches. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/12992269/sandro-tonali-newcastle-midfielder-to-be-banned-from-football-for-10-months-after-breaching-betting-rules
