The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
healthyaddiction replied to Rich's topic in Football
Am I crazy or did we once get a european spot because of our disciplinary record? -
I hope Arteta gives it the old Rogers 'we won the passing'.
-
David Raya just giving him the whole goal to shoot at.
-
Yeah, we can do that at the same time we move Schar into midfield.
-
I thought the second one was a clear penalty. He deliberarely plays the ball with his arm.
-
It's kind of crazy how Haaland started this season scoring 9 goals in his first four league games, but has scored only 11 since (in 23 games).
-
If he has another season like this one his value isn't going to drop, even with two years left. When he's down to one year sure, but not before then.
-
£150m will let us spend £150m. I know some will say because of amortisation it means more, but that would essentially require us to sell another £150m each window to maintain that. Unless we can increase the commercial revenue in line with that which is obviously extremely unlikely.

I think TAA is definitely gone, and I think Salah will go too. Van Dijk I think is the most likely to stay, but I have no idea why they haven't sorted that yet.
-
They may need to replace Alexander-Arnold, Salah & Van Dijk. Plus they really need a new left back.
-
It's mental that your using Hall, Livramento and Gordon as examples of being bad in the market.
-
I like Hall a lot but I personally think that's a little strong. All opinions though.
-
The definition for A in the opening post is World Class - could play for any team in the world. Do you really think right now that describes Hall? Maybe his potential, but I don't think many people outside Newcastle would put down Hall at left back in the team of the season right now.
-
Not enough zig zags and fluorescent lightning bolts for me. That's what makes a real kit.
-
They're weekend at bernies'ing him to throw the Scousers off.
-
What a loser mentality.
-
Caicedo wanted out of Brighton, they held on and got what they wanted. Rice wanted out of West Ham, they held out and got what they wanted. Kane wanted a move to Man City, Tottenham didn't sell because City didn't offer enough. Even Gordon throwing out his toys at Everton still ended with us paying what Everton wanted (I think). Unless the cards are in the players hands because their contract is low, I really don't think having a sulk will affect the fee a club demands.
-
Why do we? He's got 3 years on his contract. What's he going to do? Not playing until he's nearly 29?
-
I massively disagree. To start with, Bruno is the hardest working player in the league. No one runs more, no one plays more minutes. That's going to be hard to replace on its own. 'The best ability is availability' as they say. Secondly he's literally the only player with genuine creativity in the team. He is a brilliantly inventive passer which you'll be losing. Finally, he's the captain and extremely popular amongst the squad and fans. Other than Isak he's the last player I'd sell
-
We're going to reveal late on that Isak has legally changed his name to Ruddy and he'll come off the bench to score and win us the game.

Tottenham are in decent form right now and have a really good record against Man City. I think they have a decent chance tonight. Edit: Decent form might be a stretch, but 3 wins in a row is good. -
I think it looks worse if you think of it as two teams you've never heard of. With no context it looks very much like he looks at him and slaps him in the face. It's only the context that makes you think it probably isn't that.
-
Wilson's averaging a goal every 81 minutes compared to Isak's goal ever 114 minutes. Personally I think Isak need's dropping for this elite goalscorer.
