  1. Has almost no posting history on Twitter, probably because he deleted all his old tweets that show he's a mackem. edit: also note his name is "Mike Hock"
  2. Why walk away then. Because the Premier League said that wasn't good enough I guess.
  3. Looks like it was specifically the PIF that withdrew and confirms that the PL checks are not ongoing.
  4. There seems to be a decent bit of interaction between his account and Jamie Rueben's. And that's definitely Jamie Ruben's account. Overall I think it probably is him.
  5. It's the legal battles where I feel you may be misleading yourself. I think we all want to believe that if it gets rejected, PIF will spend millions taking them to the cleaners but i've yet to hear anyone put forward anything that suggests that they'd have any kind of strong case, if any case at all. I think someone yesterday suggested only MA would have a legal angle, if he felt compelled to go down that route. Whether that's right I don't know but in basic terms, if feels like if it gets rejected because of the PL's own test, rather any kind of UK law, then they'll be able to back that up. I just don't see this going legal. It wouldn't be the first time football sets it's own rules that are then overturned by law. Man City's ban for example.
  6. Said there would be an announcement imminently back in April. Other than that has mostly made some utterly unprovable statements.
  7. For footballing reasons alone he is certainly a better option than Joselu If he's ever on the pitch, which he hasn't managed for 8 years.
  8. So who should we have signed that were of a higher standard? Solomon Rondon to name one. There are a hundred better strikers out there if you're prepared to spend a bit of money.
  9. According to him it was Rafas purple that informed them he was going to the training ground.
  10. I think Southampton's owners failed it at first didn't they?
  11. The two statements from about 6 weeks ago were official statements I believe.
  12. Me being an optimist: This isn't the official statement talked about last week. That was a statement written assuming official ok from PL arrived, which it didn't. So, BZG annoyed with PL dragging their heels and because they had said a statement would be released have spoken to the journalist and given an update. They're still waiting for the PL approval to release the official statement. Ok, more than an optimist. Probably obscenely deluded.
  13. I think that this might all be being orchestrated by shaping shifting lizard aliens.
  14. This is how I am interpreting it. Premier League are proving difficult in approving the purchase and may even kill the deal.
  15. What do you make of the Chronicle claiming it was confirmed at the AGM that no fit and proper persons test is happening yet?
  16. You can literally go on companies house website yourself and check it out.
  17. There were growing protests so it suited him to overplay how far the deal was. Right now, he couldn't give a damn.
  18. He's started more games than any other Liverpool midfielder this season. He's started practically every game.
  19. Spot on. Benitez should have all the Mitrovic money, but this summer he will only have another £5 million from that sale to spend and it will be same if we sell Hayden and Shelvey in the summer. Selling players is kind of pointless for the club when it adds next to nothing to the managers budget. It'd be ok if we would buy players over long installments similarly, but we don't, or very rarely do. I know the clubs idea is in the long run you'll have this ongoing income of fees, but when it inevitably leaves with a weak squad that gets relegated and then you lose £100m and wipes all of that potential profit out.
  20. People seem to be eating up this £50-60m plus player sales nonsense. Even Luke Edwards makes out it could be more like £100m with player sales. Nonsense on so many levels. First because when we sell players we always take them in installments, so if we sold £40m of talent we'd see about £10m of that right now at best. Then with all signings it'd inevitably include agent fees and probably wages. Our net spend on actual transfer fees will be more like £10m inevitably. I don't know how anyone could believe we're suddenly going to make a net spend of £60m on transfer fees.
  21. This is quite the take on the racist abuse debate.
