  1. Very few teams left with nothing to play for. Maybe Brentford, Fulham, Palace and Chelsea is pretty much it. Seems like every other team is either involved in chasing Europe or trying to avoid relegation.
  2. Hate that ironic cheer thing for every little mistake a player makes
  3. Shame, technically off I suppose but pity a brilliant goal chalked off like that
  4. Definitely watching the Leeds game, high potential for fun in this one. Leicester coming back at the weekend, can see that momentum getting them another win, sometimes it's all a team needs. Leeds losing is generally laughs.
  5. Hope Fulham can pinch something at Villa
  6. Aye, every time there's a bit of a corny thing going on with the owners (and there's been plenty), just think of the joy their fans are experiencing after years of nowt. Cannot deny them this era at all, it's great.
  7. Totally agree. I highly doubt EH will just bin off players who have taken us from bottom 3 no-hopers to likely top 4. As fans, we have a tendency to always just want that shiny new thing, spend big money on "elite", well-known players. It's natural and in time, we will slowly evolve. But EH i'm almost certain will operate a lot more cautiously in the summer window than perhaps we as fans would expect. Squad harmony is key and it's at it's absolute peak right now. Watch the Spurs game and see the spirit and team ethic in there, Spurs couldn't dream of it. It's a huge part of our success this season.
  8. Gonna be an interesting summer. We've not really seen a "ruthless" side of EH yet. He's incredibly loyal to his players, so long as they work hard and deliver what he asks. When it comes to the topic of replacing/upgrading the likes of Longstaff and Miggy, I wonder how he truly feels about that. Does he see them as players he needs to upgrade? Most would agree that Miggy and Longstaff have both had excellent seasons, we undoubtedly missed them at Villa (not that we'd have won with them but we missed their running and energy, particularly Longstaff) so when it comes to "upgrading" these spots, especially with players who have improved and flourished beyond recognition under him, i'm really curious to see how this plays out. I mentioned those two because they seem to play in the positions most often mentioned for upgrading and I get that, we do need to slowly do that. They might be just squad players next season and we'll need as much quality depth as we can get with the possibility of many more games. Fascinating summer ahead and beyond the money spent, to see the way the squad will evolve.
  9. The punditry/media shock is laughable like, I personally haven't seen Spurs play well even once this season, and frequently, in fact most of the time, they've been shit and largely bailed out by generous reffing/VAR and Kane. But the Pundits and media need to take their collective heads out of their arses and give true credit where it's due, we'd have probably beaten anyone playing like we did Sunday. Wish we were playing like these past 2 home games when we played Liverpool, we owe those cunts next season. Jammy fuckers caught us right at the tail-end of our slump.
  10. Grim. Seems there's no end of good to excellent coaches out there willing to piss away 12-18 months of their career at that basket case of a club.
  11. If there's anyone in Connecticut or somewhere reasonably close, i'd be up for a pint and watching a game. Gets a bit dull just watching at home on my own sometimes.
  12. Father Merrin has nowt on Eddie like
  13. As much as anything, beyond the stunned delight I feel at how we bounced back from last week and how well we played, i'm so fucking pleased that we laid bare any myths that Spurs are a top 4 side. Not even close, they're a gutless bunch of losers. They have no spirit, no fight, nothing much beyond a world class player in Kane. Fifth? They're lucky they're not 15th and without Kane they would be. Worst "good" side i've seen this season by a distance. Southampton have more fight in them.
  14. I think Spurs might have gotten their tactics wrong...
  15. The semi finals I grew up watching in the 80s were always at grounds like Goodison, Villa Park, WHL, Hillsborough. Pre-1989 they were fantastic for atmosphere and emotional scenes but always a sense of crowd problems and a vibe of disorder, especially at Hillsborough (Spurs vs Wolves, Leeds vs Coventry) and a big one at Goodison between Man Utd and Liverpool in 85. Plenty grounds out there could safely host these days, apart from Wembley.
  16. Ayew puts one over the stand, about sums up this bag of shit of a game
  17. Wigan winning, good news for the tramps
  18. Holgate off after hauling Ayew down, hopefully Palace find a goal, what a shit game
