Mad to think they were two wins from promotion. What a shame they missed out.

Cracking start for the scum, a nice demoralizing relegation battle ahead for the hopeless fucking wretches

Hasn't responded yet so could be him like

Everywhere you look, there's 9+ minutes extra being played, stupid cunts can't leave the rules alone, players will be shot by Christmas

Saints 4-4

They truly are useless, scruffy cunts.

7 goals at Saints, canny

Enzo went to Benfica for 12m and Caicedo cost Brighton around 5m. 17m total and Chelsea are now spending around 215m on them. That's utterly crazy, regardless of their turnover, commercial strength etc. At a certain point, they'd be better off investing in some proper scouting and data analysis to get these "gems" before they cost near world record amounts. Fucking idiots are driving the prices of everything up, not just for themselves.

After apparently only wanting to move to Arsenal and trying to force that through in January. Seems a bit of a low character dude to me, perfect for them really.

Nearly double our transfer record. We're nowhere near being able to compete for these types of players. So much pressure on EH to bridge the gap with genius coaching and fitness levels others struggle to get near. I prefer it this way, fuck the ESL cunts.
-
That must mean Lavia to Chelsea for about half the Caicedo money.

110m. He reportedly cost 5m. Brighton seem to get what they want always. Oh and fuck Chelsea and Liverpool. Ceiling my arse

Aye, fair. I just wish one of these days, a young player Chelsea are pursuing in some relentless and repugnant manner, turns them down and says something honest like "I'd never want to play for a club where I won't get the playing time. I want to develop and make something of my career in the playing sense, and I am not just motivated by financial gain". He'd be my fucking hero, but will never happen.

This one of the mysteries, why players choose certain clubs. I get the percentage of appeal to live in the capital on good money but you just know, unless you're elite, you're going to play sporadically. It's a curious thing, would be good to get player's honest feedback on why they go to these clubs beyond money and prestige, or if it's just that. Wishful thinking probably

Yeah, I like him quite a bit as a player and he is a fiery competitive type, perfect for a certain type of club and certain type of midfield. I don't personally think Chelsea is that club, would be surprising if he was a regular, and that seems to go against his personality and traits altogether. Strange club to choose in some ways but maybe there hasn't been much interest up to now and moving to them will have it's perks, even if they're the most loathsome club on the planet.

Can't really blame Adams too much. Gets out of a Championship club, moves to a "big" club in London on good wedge, while playing only occasionally and living a very relaxed lifestyle no doubt. Chelsea won't ever mean much to him though, which I think is their biggest long-term issue, players just won't generally give a fuck or play with heart. They're just a soulless pit.

Despise Chelsea with a passion, have done for many years but just in recent times, even more so. Constantly trying to find loopholes, manipulate the various systems in place, circumvent rules and just generally be arseholes. That they didn't go to the fucking wall after Abramovich made me so sad.

My memory is definitely not what it was but I have the vaguest recollection of reading/hearing this happened at Brighton.

Don't necessarily disagree but the context is a little different, we were on a huge upward curve, had just come within 4pts of the title and were clearly the second best team in the country at the time and just as likely to win the league, although it didn't work out. I think it's more the "saga" aspect of this thing which is tiresome, he's been rumored to be moving in each of the past 2 or 3 summer windows.

Newcastle United vs. Aston Villa: 12/08/23 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

I mean i'm crap at predicting scores but i'll go for 2-2. They're light a couple of talented midfielders but we might be without Schar (haven't heard anything concrete) and so could stretch us a bit and opening day often throws up weird and high scoring games. That said EH will have learned a lot from the April game and i'd expect there'll be no repeat of that and Emery already showed his shit by taking the pre-season game so seriously. -
Should have happened Last Christmas

There's always some mug club comes along and bails out the big 6 from their terrible purchases. That said, a plyer like Maguire can still be a functional defender in the right system.

Bet they couldn't accept that fast enough
