It's easy to just summarize it as "we cocked up the summer" but for a variety of factors that are rarely recognized in the criticism. Isak leaving didn't just deprive us of a killer goal threat, it pushed us into the type of transfer business we weren't quite ready for it seems. I think you add that, plus the lack of executive leadership and the amount of competitions we're desperately competing in, mix it all together in a shit cocktail and sprinkle in some under-performing players, poor in-game management at times plus horribly timed injuries and this is the kind of uneven season you get. We're not playing well in the league but i'm not personally surprised by any of it.

You'd think it was locked when we win, the lack of posts

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

Those 3 plus Barnes for me. All irreplaceable in their own way. -
I edited once I read your message properly

Not sure who you're thinking of there, Peter Barnes?

Reminded me of another left footer from the 80s with the same name, the way he coolly collected the ball centrally, drifted wide and then accelerated knowing exactly the angle to take to get the shot off. Single-minded as fuck once he gets in those positions. For me, along with Hall, Miley and Bruno, he has rapidly become unsellable. You just can't easily replace a finisher like that, not for anything like what we paid for him anyway.

Didn't this lot absolutely spangle the scouse rats at Anfield -
Clinging to the idea that he's actually good based on his PL history and that he's just rusty as fuck and lacking sharpness being dropped in the side mid-season.

Agree and it's not a good spot for him to be in, clearly a confidence player and he has none. Will only get worked out on the training ground and gradually in games and he's gonna have to knuckle down and try to improve somehow, nobody is giving us our money back

Was at the Bournemouth home game in 1990, fucking freezing. Likely the last time I saw us play them actually, 36 years -

Feeling really emotional tonight. A 4-3 after the KK news, the way I love this squad of gutsy players and all you fine people, it's too perfect and a win i'll always remember. -

Beautiful mate. I tear up at all dad stories -
I worry about him tbh, burnout is an all too real possibility, quite apart from no-nowts critiquing every thing he does.
