Wolves all over West Ham
-
Watching the Liverpool game, their first goal was hugely questionable for offside. VAR found one angle that made it look just about onside and that was all they showed. Fuck off man, trying to get our goal disallowed, showing about 17 different angles. Corrupt wankers.

GTFI Brighton

Brighton all over Klopp's Kunts since going behind, brilliant save by Allison
-
Also, granted the game "script" is going our way for once, but to be doing this without Isak and ASM is fucking fantastic
-
Isak might have filled his boots today like
-
After all the pissing and moaning in the pre-match thread about the lineup, this performance and scoreline is equal parts magnificent and hilarious
-
Liverpool 3-2, shit own goal
-
Liverpool 2-2, Firminho again, nice work by Diaz. Cunts.
-
Just adds to the theory that VAR exists solely to assist the top teams, if that were the Toon, they'd have found it offside without a fucking doubt
-
Liverpool score, of course a marginal offside went in their favour
-
@Shak get interested again mate
-
Trent a joke as usual
-
Brighton 2-0, another brilliant finish by Tross
-
Brighton murdering Liverpool, should be at least 2-0
-
Brilliant finish by Trossard, 1-0 Brighton

Good signing for them, fair to say that although Lampard and Gerrard always got compared and sort of lumped together as players and now as managers, I think Lampard has more chance of developing and succeeding than Gerrard. What that will translate to, I don't know but I think he's a better all-round manager

West Ham are a disgrace after the money they've spent

Also fair to point out that we've only lost 6 league games from 27 going back to December 19th last year and we played Liverpool and Man City 4 times in that time. Also, the prior 2 defeats before that date were also against Liverpool and Man City. 6 fucking fixtures against those teams since the middle of last December. Of those 6 defeats, I honestly think only Spurs and City (A) gave us a real going over. Just need to give even myself that perspective sometimes.

The club EH joined was on it's knees and heading in one direction. Eddie Howe gets eternal credit and respect from me for what he achieved with the disorganized, unfit rabble left behind by the fat fraud. Now he has a different club and different problems. He has scrutiny from all sides and that comes from the investment we've made (it'll get mentioned at every opportunity by those who hope he fails), leading to massively increased expectation in the "must have it all now" era we live in, even though you have to factor in 15 years of virtually none at all. What we've given him is the basic minimum he needed to get the squad somewhere near where it should be. There's gaps and they'll be filled, just not overnight. Now he has to have the shoulders broad enough to deal with any inevitable criticism, even from within our own fanbase, who clearly have very short memories. I back him to succeed long term, he just has "it" and one or two scrappy performances and poor results as he deals with injuries to key players and teams who come to frustrate us don't change that.

Cracking post and sums up my feelings to the letter

Regarding booing, it's been there in previous eras and it comes from a sense of entitlement and enhanced expectation. Don't recall it much in the 80s when we were regularly twatted by the big sides at home (not saying it didn't ever happen, just don't recall it). Beaten regularly by 3 or 4 goals at home by Everton, Liverpool etc, don't remember booing. I definitely remember it in the KK and SBR eras. I can vividly recall a bloke in front of me booing at half time as we trooped off losing to Luton in the cup in 93/94 under KK. I nearly had a physical altercation with him over it. Enhanced expectations...hey we're not beating Luton at home...BOOO!!! It's not a Punch and Judy show you fucking melts, there's two teams on the pitch. I trust EH more than anyone since SBR, to get this right. Yeah, I wish we had won a couple more, but booing ffs. We're actually very unlucky to not have at least 5 more points and be sitting top 6. And that's with key attacking players missing several games and decisions going against us regularly.

Tickled at that, even imagined the wheels squeaking

I recommend those with a level head, just stay out of this thread for an hour or two.

Very few teams are gonna come to our ground and play open, only really Man City have done it so far and we gave them all they could handle and absolutely nobody was complaining that day. That was without Isak as well. Shocker of a result today honestly but so many factors that led to it. Our midfield is well short of the quality needed and that is obvious and will be addressed, going mental at a disappointing draw against a well-drilled team who came for exactly that, gets us nowhere man.
