  1. Definitely, always something of a gamble, especially a player that would probably cost north of 60m. That said, he has often been referred to as being in the top 2-3 players in that country alongside Luis Diaz and he looks pretty special at Liverpool already. I think we need a relatively young, marquee CF and he fits the bill (with the caveat he doesn't have PL experience), we're not going to be in for the likes of Kane for some time.
  2. Maguire is such a lumbering twat
  3. Rubbish from Pogba, wants far too much time as usual
  4. Think that's what's called a "canny start". Awful defending from Man Utd.
  5. That was the gist of my point, even during poor personal performances, he's always capable of something, plus the more solid team structure leaves us less open to the bad side of losing the ball in your example. That and has done so much in a positive way for the club on and off the field, I hope there continues to be a way to keep him integrated because he brings something to the team nobody else does.
  6. Terrible is a harsh adjective. For every game where he's a bit off and he's running into blind alleys and we're screaming at him to look up, you get frustrated but then you also realize we're 80 yards from our own goal thanks to him carrying the ball the length of the field, which serves a purpose when we're defending a lead.
  7. Yep and also Xhaka played a daft pass a few seconds prior which gave away possession. Arsenal play a lot of lax passes and make mental mistakes quite often.
  8. Weird side Watford, occasionally really dangerous and all over the place other times. Just a random collection of pacy athletic players. Suppose it's no surprise really given the amount of coaches they've had to listen to this year
  9. Didn't realize Watford have lost 7 consecutive home games, Christ
  10. Noticed mixed views on his cameo today so tried to see what I could find in the highlights. He made one of his trademark brilliant interception tackles to get the ball to Shelvey who released ASM but that was all I saw. Like most players, however good they are, you're only going to see his best with a run in the team, it's also the only way he'll get up to game speed and his true quality will shine. Hopefully this run of away games will be his time, we were looking a bit leggy in the middle today, no surprise, Brighton are an excellent away side.
  11. The man never has and never will rest on his laurels. It's not in his nature. None of this "letting our hair down" before a 0-5 howking like Pardew or taking massive credit for an occasional win and threatening reporters like Bruce. He's a workaholic and we're incredibly lucky to have him. There may come a time in the future when we need more to make the big leap, but i'd like to think he could be our boss for many years to come and we can achieve our goals with him and nobody would deserve it more.
  12. Another utterly rubbish result today shame
  13. Getting Lascelles and Clark out of the side for Burn and Schar and Targett to strengthen the left, allied to much greater fitness, team spirit and professionalism has saved our season.
  14. Everton losing Monday would make it even better
  15. Milner FFS, I swear he was coming on as a sub in games in the 80s
  16. State of Noble. Looks like he eats egg and chips pre-match before turning out for Birds Nest or Kenton Bar with teammates called Twed.
  17. TAA threatening to chin the linesman, clearly onside daft sod
  18. As good a time as any to play them. The recent run has given us a tiny bit of breathing room so anything other than a defeat here would be an excellent result.
  19. Diaz looks like a canny acquisition
  20. Not sure i've ever seen Mane smile. Commentators praying this is onside.
  21. Wonder if he'll offer some reporters outside after today, smug prick will be full of himself
