A bit of grass is a bit of grass, whether you're out wide or up front you should still be able to pass, control, dribble, cross etc. And this coming from a poster who prides himself in his knowledge of tactics, training, a holistic approach et cetera.. For the record, I don´t want Allardyce out if that´s what you were thinking. For me one of the most disappointing things about the Allardyce reign is his man management skills, playing players out of position, dropping them after a good performance, constant experimenting with players clearly not up to the tasks and all this to the detriment of the club so far. You claim Allardyce has a right to blame the players like we can but as far as I am concerned he hasn't. They are all in the same team, and I don't see what good his latest comments about not being happy at having his destiny in the hands of some of his players will do. By now you would think Allardyce has had the time to assess each player in the squad and should be able to devise a system that plays to their strengths and minimises their weaknesses, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case.

Fairly predicatable reaction: if the manager you back to the hilt doesn´t seem to get the team going, blame the players. With some of the baffling decisions by Allardyce, who can blame the players for not understanding or responding..

Just watched it. He never mentions Enrique. The scary thing he does say is that we don't have to go gung-ho against Wigan like we did against Derby! Willow, seeing as Enrique doesn't seem to be injured and we have no information that there is some kind of major problem with him why are you having a go at me for pointing out that not playing him today was a missed opportunity if the reason he's not being played has to do with getting used to Premiership football..

Smith was better than martins today. Martins was f****** s*** and looked to be in the huff in the first half when he couldn't be bothered to move his arse. What did Smith do that was good, seriously? Martins wasn't very good, but he did put a few crosses in from the right, had a header cleared off the line and got behind their defence once or twice (only to f*** it up admittedly, but still..) Created the first goal for Viduka with his persistance and never say die attitude something that Martins sorely lacks along with a first touch and awareness of what goes on around him and desire to work for the team wherever he is asked. Haha, you mean the first goal where he could have put a shot in, hesitated, turned away from goal, fell down, decided to sit on and handle the ball before it fluked out of his control and freakily fell into the path of Viduka, who did brilliantly to score from the most ugly build up play you could imagine? A genuine striker wouldn't have thought twice and would have smashed the ball when there was the opportunity to do so.

Not to mention they've only scored 5 goals if you take away our games against them. If you take off those five goals and the points from the three games they've drawn before today, they have no points and no goals. I don't see it as a useful statistic though Are you for real? If that's not a useful statistic why even have a league (table) in the first place?

We didn't play 433. Some people here are on drugs. I don't even know what system we played.. What was Smith's position for instance? Up front alongside Viduka until the 2nd half. And completely dominated by a bigger centreback. And where did he play in the second half..? I can't even remember he featured once, everything passed him by. I've said it before and I'll say it again, what use is it to play a striker who will never shoot and can't create. And to think he's actually worse when played in midfield.. If we would have lined up with a 442 with Viduka and Martins on top and Milner and Zog on the wings (Milner right) there is no way we would have looked this lacklustre.. I'm well pissed with Big Sam.

We battered them all game How's that..? We had absolutely no system or tactics about us, and all we did was aimless hoofs up the pitch.. It didn't even resemble football at times.
