He outmuscled Adebayor a fair few times on Tuesday night. I like the look of Cacapa, he shows a lot of class at times and is gradually adjusting to the physicality of the league. Play him alongside Faye and in a defence who aren't under pressure for 90 minutes and he could really establish himself.

Duff Barton Emre N'Zogbia Owen Viduka Milner is ineffective at the best of times, but he really is awful in this form. Drop him. I'd also rather see Edgar or Rozehnal at left-back than N'Zogbia, not only is he hopeless there but it leaves us without any pace whatsoever in the final 3rd.

Owen 7 - Worked really hard all night and made some beautiful runs, shame he was incorrectly flagged several times and when he wasn't, the through balls were consistently overhit. He will score goals when Viduka and Emre are back. Barton 7 - After watching Smith and Butt for so long it was refreshing to watch a mobile central midfielder who showed for the ball very well and was capable of playing a quick, short pass. Start him at the weekend.
