  1. Man City 0-1 Arsenal. Adebayor.
  2. Saturday Birmingham v Derby Blackburn v Everton Liverpool v Sunderland (17:15) Man City v Arsenal (12:45) Portsmouth v Chelsea Reading v Bolton Tottenham v Man Utd Wigan v West Ham Sunday Fulham v Aston Villa (16:00) Tough away fixtures for all of the top three, it promises to be an interesting weekend. This is, as predicted, turning out to be the most competitive Premier League ever - shame we're not really involved in any of the mini-leagues.
  3. He outmuscled Adebayor a fair few times on Tuesday night. I like the look of Cacapa, he shows a lot of class at times and is gradually adjusting to the physicality of the league. Play him alongside Faye and in a defence who aren't under pressure for 90 minutes and he could really establish himself.
  4. And us. we share your pain but at least you are not going down I hate you SUPERTOON, I really do.
  5. I remember similar posts just before the Summer '06 transfer window shut... the rest is history.

  7. Greg Halford going in the opposite direction on loan.
  8. Duff Barton Emre N'Zogbia Owen Viduka Milner is ineffective at the best of times, but he really is awful in this form. Drop him. I'd also rather see Edgar or Rozehnal at left-back than N'Zogbia, not only is he hopeless there but it leaves us without any pace whatsoever in the final 3rd.
  9. Tottenham accept bid from Aston Villa for Kevin-Prince Boateng.
  10. SSN: Routledge having medical with Aston Villa.
  11. Owen 7 - Worked really hard all night and made some beautiful runs, shame he was incorrectly flagged several times and when he wasn't, the through balls were consistently overhit. He will score goals when Viduka and Emre are back. Barton 7 - After watching Smith and Butt for so long it was refreshing to watch a mobile central midfielder who showed for the ball very well and was capable of playing a quick, short pass. Start him at the weekend.
  12. Who else can we play there? Roz? Carr? They'd do even worse. We'll get murdered in the second half no matter what Keegan does. They couldn't possibly do any worse and it would free up our best attacking player to.. you know.. attack.
  13. If N'Zogbia starts the second half at left-back then questions have to be asked of Keegan. He is getting raped.
  14. It didn't take us long to revert to looking nervous in possession, playing N'Zogbia at left-back and aimlessly pumping long balls up to Owen.
  15. Sissoko completes move to Juventus for £8.2M. Excellent business for Liverpool.

  17. The set-up sounds promising, as long as Keegan has the final say on transfers, but i'm still not sure what Wise brings to the table.
  18. “I do not know where that story came from,” Wenger wrote in his programme notes for Tuesday’s game against Newcastle United. “There is no truth in it at all. We have never been in touch with Middlesbrough about Jonathan Woodgate.” http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/01/28/Premier-League-Wenger-on-Woodgate-reports/
  19. Come on, he's not going to be a Director of Football. It's quite a coup to get him from Leeds just to assist Keegan.
  20. Why? Man City and Villa are probably the last two clubs who need to spend £7m on a central defender.
  21. There is no chance Quinn would ever sell him to us, anyway.
