  1. That Geremi free kick was a few inches away from being one of the greatest of all time.
  2. 'What does Terry Mac do?' Keegan saying he has a future here.

    David Bentley

Hleb in particular has put in some wonderful performances this season.
  4. Not surprising to see him pack the midfield with five quite central players with plenty of technical ability on the ball, but little pace. It does make the omission of Carrick even more strange, though.
  5. Harper Carr Beye Caçapa Enrique Milner Faye Barton Duff Owen Viduka
  6. There goes any remaining credibility Sky Sport News were clinging onto after this transfer window.
  7. James Richards Ferdinand Woodgate A.Cole Bentley Hargreaves Barry Young SWP Rooney Ferdinand captain - Gerrard hasn't been up to much lately and Hargreaves/Barry gives the midfield a nice balance. SWP has been in better form than Owen too.
  8. Being our best central midfielder he is worth the bother, though.
  9. Great scenes at the end. Do Guinea have any chance against the Ivory Coast tonight? I haven't seen them play.
  10. My only concern is that all these teams are mentally prepared for a relegation battle and are fighting for everything now. You fear, with the fixtures we have coming up, we could find ourselves right in the thick of it with a group of players who currently look scared to play football, who knows how they will cope if panic over survival sets in...
  11. Davies, King, Johnson, Shorey, Downing, Carrick and Heskey ommited from the final squad. I'm surprised Capello has opted for Jenas over Carrick.
  12. Man City 0-1 Arsenal. Adebayor.
  13. Saturday Birmingham v Derby Blackburn v Everton Liverpool v Sunderland (17:15) Man City v Arsenal (12:45) Portsmouth v Chelsea Reading v Bolton Tottenham v Man Utd Wigan v West Ham Sunday Fulham v Aston Villa (16:00) Tough away fixtures for all of the top three, it promises to be an interesting weekend. This is, as predicted, turning out to be the most competitive Premier League ever - shame we're not really involved in any of the mini-leagues.
  14. He outmuscled Adebayor a fair few times on Tuesday night. I like the look of Cacapa, he shows a lot of class at times and is gradually adjusting to the physicality of the league. Play him alongside Faye and in a defence who aren't under pressure for 90 minutes and he could really establish himself.
  15. And us. we share your pain but at least you are not going down I hate you SUPERTOON, I really do.
  16. I remember similar posts just before the Summer '06 transfer window shut... the rest is history.

  18. Greg Halford going in the opposite direction on loan.
  19. Duff Barton Emre N'Zogbia Owen Viduka Milner is ineffective at the best of times, but he really is awful in this form. Drop him. I'd also rather see Edgar or Rozehnal at left-back than N'Zogbia, not only is he hopeless there but it leaves us without any pace whatsoever in the final 3rd.
  20. Tottenham accept bid from Aston Villa for Kevin-Prince Boateng.
  21. SSN: Routledge having medical with Aston Villa.
