  1. Honestly can't believe i dropped Drogba.
  2. and what is that exactly? He's f***ing shit at long range shooting I like parker but he can't shoot for shit The one thing that used to frustrate me the most about Parker, tbh. His finishing and general shooting ability is shocking. I'm glad he's got a few goals, it certainly adds to (what looked like last season atleast) a decent all-round game. But you look at his four goals, three of them have been headers, and that doesn't surprise me. We missed someone who charged into the box and would score a goal when Bowyer departed, and Parker hasn't really filled the gap left in my opinion. Which is one of the key reasons why Roeder's Emre-sitback/Parker-goforward simply doesn't work. And another reason why Emre-Butt works better. Emre's shooting isn't great, and he seriously needs to improve his one-on-ones, but he's certainly more effective than Parker going forward.
  3. Now that would be a very good result for us...
  4. Two goals from Linvoy Primus?
  5. NUFC: Given, Srnicek, Krul, Solano, Babayaro, Taylor, Ramage, Huntington, Parker, Butt, Emre, Milner, Duff, Pattison, Troisi, Gate, Edgar, Martins, Dyer, Sibierski, Luque, Rossi, Carroll. Krul Solano --- Taylor --- Ramage --- Huntington Milner --- Parker --- Butt --- Emre Dyer --- Martins Subs: Srnicek, Edgar, Duff, Rossi, Sibierski Krul if Given is definitely unfit, which i desperately hope he isn't against an improving Bolton attack. Defense picks itself as far as i am concerned. If Bramble and Moore even have a sniff at sneaking back into the first team defense, Roeder want's a bullet. Huntington is progressing well at left-back, looking forward to seeing more of him. Some tough choices in midfield. It's hard to leave Parker out after such an impressive performance against Tottenham, although my first choice central-midfield pair is still Emre-Butt. I'm going to use the excuse that Duff isn't fit enough to start yet, so i'll keep the midfield that spanked Spurs. Emre needs to learn how to help out Hunty, though. It could be one of Anelka/Davies/Diouf up against Huntington, so we need to rely on a big performance from Emre today down the left, no disrespect to Huntington. Upfront, Dyer and Martins - dynamic duo. When they play together, they play off each other. They score goals.
  6. Only midfielder we need to buy, is a replacement for Butt in the summer. Though i would really like to see Giles Barnes here, simply because he is so versatile and would be a cracking squad player at the very least. And i'm with Jon... would rather have Baines than Bale. Besides, every man and his dog is after Bale.
  7. You read the thread yet mate? Not yet... doing Christmas Evey things. ;-) I probably should have started my own topic in all fairness, because my post may or may not be relevant to Knightrider's initial one. I wouldn't know cos i'm a lazy bastard. I just gave an honest opinion on Roeder, with my mind purely focused on the long term. And that's kind of directed in Leeds Magpie way aswell, i'm not being ungrateful in the slightest - he did a magnificent job last season. And like i said - he should have finished at the end of last season and left as a hero. As far as the league goes this season, he's only taken us to a position slightly better than under Souness. And that is a fact, NorthernRocker. ;-) And btw - this is a great board, but it's a shame how everyone has to use over-the-top expletives and name-calling, every time someone shares a different opinion to their's. Was there really any need to call me an 'ungrateful bastard', especially when it is far from the case?
  8. I'm perfectly calm... i enjoy a good, healthy argument.
  9. NorthernRocker, i edited my post - just take a look cos my reply to your dross is now slightly more indepth.
  10. Preparing for the future with another managerial change...? Didn't say that. Said i wanted him in the job for a year at the very least. Maybe you should read the f***ing post, deconstruct, and challenge things with facts and figures, I said i wasn't going to do that, i don't have the time to at the moment. I'll read it later... like i said - i set out with the intention of giving my opinion on Roeder. instead of getting your f***ing crystal ball out, and giving a manager 'to the end of the transfer window'. Bored of you saying that... i'm predicting - not telling. I said words like "i think" which i thought would have made that clear, obviousy not. Truly the words of someone that doesn't have a f***ing clue, tbh. Honestly, I don't understand what you want from the team at the moment, even despite our current mediocre position, I'm ten times as happy as this time last year, You're saying i'm not? The very mediocre position (considering the team and the fixtures we had at the start of the season) is irrelivent really, i was giving my opinion on the manager. We're a club on the up, but it's going to take time, quite a number of years, at least. Aye, but again - if you read my post, i said if we finish 11th-17th, i'd be posing questions then. We wouldn't be on the up then, would we? We'd have dropped down four places atleast... I said i didn't read the post. I just gave my opinion on Roeder. I should have made that more clear. You should read my post... "f***ing."
  11. Worst board in the country? Appoint Dowie on a big contract with big wages. Pay him off £1m+ within 15 matches. Appoint someone who wrote a book about football. Pay him off £1m+ within 3 matches.
  12. Just seen the thread - and there are three or four VERY long posts that i genuinely just can't be bothered to go through. I'll probably read the first couple later on. But i'll give my opinion of Roeder, in a nutshell. Didn't like the appointment, and still don't - we should have appointed someone far better, someone qualified at the very least. You could say that that's not Roeder's fault, but he should have stood by what he said in the first place and turn down the permanent managers job, and left Newcastle as a hero. Instead, he's likely to leave having achieved a couple of half decent mid-table finishes, and nowt much else. I didn't buy the 'he earnt it' theory - that was a lame cover up cos we just couldn't afford anyone else, or no one wanted it. He's an average-to-bad manager who'll do nowt with us. Of course, i'm hoping i'm totally wrong, but being completely honest - that's just what i think. In regards to the short term, i'm not calling for his head - i think he should be given until the end of the transfer window, and probably till the end of the season at the very least. Give him a year in the job minimum, like i said with Souness aswell. I'd love to see him do well. But another shocking transfer window, and an 11th-17th place will have me posing some very strong questions.
  13. Yorkie

    Taylor and Ramage.

McClaren seems to have been at our last 3/4 games at St James'... He won't just be watching Parker. Taylor and Ramage have been immense.
  14. What are f'at'gs anyway? Fatgs? :?
  15. Don't talk to me, I don't talk to f@gs. Thanks for making my point.
  16. Deep - don't you go anywhere near that forum. You'll make all Geordies looking like fucking tossers.
  17. Beggers belief. Why don't you think he'll get better? He's needs to play in a winning team at the moment, and nows the perfect time. We're playing good football, we're winning games, and our strikers are striving on crosses, and I believe when Duffer is fit, he's going to be a big player for us. I don't understand why people can chalk a player off in just three months, it's f***ing ridiculous man. You missed the part where i said "I have faith in him to get better", then?
  18. Excuse you speak no English? If you do speak it, make sure it makes sense. Painfully thick mate at 13 I have already done a GCSE and got A* and doing Maths this year. They do say GCSE's get easier every year, f***ing hell they must have gotten easy! O.K stop taking the piss out of me. If you want me to brag and say I go to the 3rd best fee paying school in the country which is also selective I will. It's called Habs. If you want to see it's results ill gladly post them. But don't undermine the effort I put in to get good grades. wow now I do feel small They say you get what you pay for but you have proved that theory wrong You have a good job no reason to feel small. It's just ur pissing me off. I have said nothing mean to you but it seems you keep picking on me for no reason. bluecry.gif bluecry.gif bluecry.gif It's just your little post to me the other day, and now this (among other things). I mean - it's just so ironic.
  19. Excuse you speak no English? If you do speak it, make sure it makes sense.
  20. Deep - speaking totally realistically, how can you be so painfully thick, yet be only be two years younger than me? You make me feel old tbh.
  21. EXACTLY what i was thinking.
  22. We have been finding more space and speed in recent weeks making us a much better attacking force, and hope that Duff will get a chance to improve his performances with the increased momentum of his teammates. I think he will get better and become an important player for us. I know mate, i've said frequently that i though Duff's poor performances might have been caused by him playing in a shite team. I expect him to pick up atleast a little bit now that we're playing well...
