Let off. Now come the fuck on.

Brentford have been shite.

Ritchie 2-2: Gordon 1-1:

2 zip. Routine win for Liverpool.

Why would anyone pay serious money for someone who's guaranteed to spend at least half their time in the physio room though? I agree in a sense; that sort of deal probably wouldn't make sense financially and we might as well just keep him on the books. Fully expect him to be registered as a NUFC player next season.
-
And only if they get him dirt cheap. Loan with us paying at least 50% of his wages, or something like that.
-
Fun night in the Europas with lots of drama. Pisser for Bodo, who threw away a two goal lead in injury time away to Ajax. Watched Benfica-Toulouse; almost a brilliant result for the away team but two Di Maria pennos. Biggest shock presumably Betis losing at home to Dinamo Zagreb in the Conference League.
-
Said before but if he still wants to work in the game I think he'd be a great asset to media coverage. Always enjoy his perspective on things.

How did loaning a young LB stop us from buying a striker?
-
Fuck knas what Botman's was all about too. Chuck Tonali into the freak pile n'all.

It's wrong. (edited)
-
If he's out for the season he'll have missed 88 games out of a possible 179 since he signed (49.2%). EDIT: this is wrong as I forgot to count the rest of this season's fixtures as ones he'd miss. So it would be 103 missed out of 179 and therefore 57.5%. So yeah, more than half.
-
Even if he was available on a free his wage demands will put anyone off. Certainly in the Prem. Hopefully he'll have suitors in the loan market. He'd do well to go to France or another league with slightly less intensity than the Premier League or even the Championship (given the number of fixtures at that level), and maybe, finally, he can play something close to a full season.
-
He's contracted until the end of next season so there's no getting rid in the summer, like. Would be lunacy for anyone to pay any money for him.
-
Fair enough, looks like I did on that occasion. I no longer hold that view and have made the point before today about post-game being more appropriate. The better solution is to fuck it off altogether, obviously.
-
Mate I've explained this to you already. Mic em up sure, for accountability, but I don't want to hear them during the game, whether that's on tele or - heaven for-fecking-bid - at the stadium. What Sky have done this season by publishing the dialogue after the fact is perfectly fine (Michael Owen notwithstanding). There's nothing to be gained from hearing them in real time beyond increasing the theatre around the whole thing, which is the last thing we should want.

All yous asking for more rugbification of football are dead to me.

This is how it always was though, only it was called "the attacker has the benefit of the doubt." So we'd broadly have the same rule with the same leniency, only with the addition of having to keep our spontaneity in check cos VAR might still intervene. Either have it for the toenail situations or don't have it, imo. Sorry, I'll try not to bombard this (mint) thread with VAR chat. Needless to say I'm approaching the point where my preference would be to bin it altogether.
-
Changing the rules around stuff like penalties and offsides is like changing all the food in your cupboards to accommodate the fussy guest you've got staying. Just get rid of the fussy guest and crack on with your life as normal. (The guest in this metaphor is VAR)
-
I don't think he'd want to come back here anyway but I could handle us not going for Toney. He just seems like such a knob and would be itching for another move in no time at all.
-
If he's going he needs to go immediately, like. His job here is about forward planning - just as it would be there. The summer is massive for us so we absolutely can't afford to prepare for it with a person at the helm who's set to join an immediate rival.

Southampton finally lose after 25 unbeaten. Norwich creep into the play-offs. Please no.
