BAAAAAARRNES

Sandro has really picked his arse up these last few games. A lot sharper with his passing. Khusanov would've been a good signing.

Playing so well

This a bit?

Wolt off the line!

Feel like that's the fastest I've ever seen Elanga move with the ball as well

How the fuck isn't that a foul

Brilliant defending Tonali

Good start

Honestly very pleased to finally see some proper rotation. The likes of Gordon can't just go and go and go and go and go and us expect them not to break, something has got to give somewhere.

That Adidas collection is extremely classy.

I think Big Joe is probably too injury prone for anyone to offer us anything that would be worth considering. Which is good news for us seeing as he's fucking mint and one of the great pin-ups for this whole era. Sees out his contract imo.

Watching the latest presser. You'd think these journos had never heard him field a question before at times, let alone spent the last four years with him. That one from Damien Spellman asking how we compare to Man City. Surely you know by this point he doesn't think like that at all? Then you've got poor old Lee Ryder asking for a Woltemade update seconds after he just gave one. Gaggle of dimwits.

Well yeah - I'm predicting a defeat. Not because I think we're shit, just because I think it's a big ask to go again so soon after the Man Utd game the other night (after so many other 'so soon afters' this year). Expecting us not to be fatigued is crazy talk imo. It's a small squad and so many of the players have been playing relentlessly. I've predicted defeat quite a few times this season because I've come to terms with the fact it's just gonna be up and down from here on out. I'm not inherently pessimistic by any stretch.

Annoyed about this draw all over again. I do think it'll be beyond us after the effort from the other night. As if the schedule isn't hard enough without a cunt ref asking us to go a half with fewer players. Maddening. You never know but City just seem to have our number at the minute. Hopefully people aren't wankers if we do get beat. If we win then I'll look forward to our tie against the winners of Arsenal/Mansfield.

Do you think you'd have assessed his performance the other night as 'thoroughly average' if he'd cost £5m? I've got faith that he'll be a useful player for us but concede that it's unlikely he'll ever justify what was a truly enormous fee. However, I feel like some of the critique of him (especially now) is anchored by how much he cost so he isn't getting his dues when he's genuinely putting in much better performances. The ManU game is the perfect example. He was a big positive for us the entire time he was on the pitch. However as I keep saying, it counts for very little if he just keeps reverting to type.

Obviously can't abide Klopp but I'd still hate to see him go to any other PL club, unless it was years in the future and someone like Blackburn Rovers. I'd like to still believe there's a lore which exists. Imagine Sir Alex at Chelsea for eg. Just wouldn't be right.

Runs like you when you played for us tbh.

This is it. He knows how to play the role but the finishing issue needs remedying if it's gonna be his future.

Razor on highlights: 10/10 Razor when you're listening live and would like to know wtf is happening: 4/10

I was half expecting a VAR review for Burn and are l agree with the view that the ref was terrible rather than corrupt. But it's so much more egregious to send a player off for a non-red offence, than to not send a player off for a borderline offence.

I think he's only really effective when he's got space. Think his main weapon is pace and running with the ball; put a load of defenders near him and he always looks clumsy and unbalanced. I can never put my finger on what sort of player he's gonna become. One game you think he'll never make it; on other occasions you wonder if we've got a rough diamond on our hands. I've always thought he reminds me of Jonas and he was clearly never a striker in a million years, though the game has changed. Whatever happens, he'll always have that last night, and it was absolutely magical as Razor said.
