Oh aye, there's some absolute beauts. Ebay's probably the same but I can generally be less arsed with there. Does irritate when people put stuff on for insulting prices; like upwards of £300 for shirts or training tops. It's like, howeh, what gives you rather right to give it that valuation? Make a buck, sure, but make it possible for someone else to love it rather than it gathering dust in your sweaty wardrobe.
-
Keep an eye on Vinted. I had one of those favourited for a while and seen it just sold. You're not paying DHGate prices obviously but at least you're getting something genuine (and manufactured to last unlike today's shirts).

Feels like this is only available in black and white.

Out of curiosity I had a look at West Ham's route to the final: Viborg (finished 4th in Denmark) Anderlecht (11th in Belgium) Silkeborg (9th in Denmark) FCSB (2nd in Romania) Larnaca (3rd in Cyprus) Gent (5th in Belgium) AZ (4th in Holland) I was chuffed for them and Moyes because they're a great club and he's a bit of a legend but fuck, that's a load of nowt in front of them before facing admittedly pretty strong opposition in the final. Whoever is in that competition from the Prem should be favourites every time if that is anything to go by (which isn't a good thing tbf).

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)
Yorkie replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
Means little coming from you given your eternal vendetta but I do broadly agree in this case. He did extremely well keeping his composure in front of that onslaught but the only save which wasn't fairly routine was the one from Nunez in the first half. Pope is clearly an immense loss to our defence, despite Dubs probably having the edge on him in terms of distribution. Still, at least he isn't the absolute lost cause I thought he was a short while ago. -
If the commentary was anything to go by it was his last game before Ascension.
-
Fair enough, I guess there are some circumstances. I'm just aching for NUFC to be in Europe.
-
I think he, like many of them, are carrying injuries. Shadow Puppets on here (clearly itk) said Livramento is carrying one too which probably goes some way to explaining his downturn in performances as well.
-
Being out of Europe is never the preference. You do what you can to adapt to the additional pressure and just hope the dice roll in your favour in terms of injuries and refereeing decisions. You also recalibrate your expectations in terms of the domestic campaign.

I don't think it's a big deal if we wait until the end of the window and/or we only sign players based on opportunism/long-term aspirations. The fixtures between now and February aren't going to define our season; December has already done that, so tbh I don't really see the point in being reactionary.
-
Yeah, agree. And, though it's hardly peak December, again we're burdened with a shorter recovery time than is ideal, particularly after such a punishing fixture.
-
Gordon for a while looked like our only hope of getting something in the second half. He was the out-ball and he also provided a very good assist for the equaliser. If we had any hope of getting anything from the game then I think he had to play the full 90 again, sadly, such is the situation.

I'm happy to nip it in the bud, like (I was a while ago but you continued being abusive which makes it difficult to leave alone ). You've outlined your view and I've explained why I said what I said; I'm not being deliberately adversarial at this point.
-
Not really. I mean, I do disagree with your view (particularly re the manager) but I wouldn't have called you entitled if you'd only said the above. It was the use of the word 'disgrace', which I equate to you going on like you're owed something, which provoked me saying that.
-
Come on man, gaslight chat is daft. 'Disgrace' is so unnecessarily loaded and synonymous with total incompetence and halfarsedery, and that's not what happened. They don't deserve that. A disgrace is making no attempt to win the game. As it happened we were in it, despite the flow of the game, until the whatever'th minute it was. If by 'disgrace' you just mean your bog-standard 'shit' or whatever then this is basically a misunderstanding.
-
What the fuck are you on about? I didn't gaslight you at all. If you're calling their performance 'a disgrace,' after everything these players and staff have given, then you are entitled. I tried to end this exchange, btw, but you're coming back with more abuse.
-
Heh, you're the one throwing around abuse. Whatever, we're on very different pages. Happy New Year and fuck Klopp.
-
I'm not gonna defend the performance to the hilt, we didn't play well and deserved to lose. I just said "we weren't that bad," particularly in the circumstances. We knocked it about well in spells and, psychologically, just about, kept ourselves in the game until that late decision. The two goals were nice and Dubravka (whose performance counts as 'us/we') was obviously brilliant. I thought Joelinton was absolutely superb in the first half too.
-
Sorry to hear that some of the finest people to have adorned the badge in my lifetime have ruined your night, like. String em up, the gutless wanks.
-
If you think we were a 'disgrace' then you don't understand football and you're incredibly entitled to boot. Those individuals representing the club tonight don't owe you a fucking thing, just FYI.
-
Him and Murphy are colossal losses to this squad. Barnes and Tonali too. Even Anderson for his physicality. The Pope shout is almost insensitive tonight given the performance of our keeper, but he's obviously an immense miss too. Burn for several weeks too, piling the pressure on Livramento. It's just impossibly difficult when your squad is having to absorb this sort of impact. You talk about having options - these are the options, above, and they're just not there. Then it's the impact on those left behind; no one is able to play at 100% after the first few weeks of carrying this additional burden. Still, nO BeTTeR tHaN BRuCe, tHiS.
-
Honestly, anyone making any fresh conclusions after that game is a fucking idiot, quite frankly. We've learnt absolutely nothing. We're utterly knackered, we have nothing on the bench, we have next to no confidence and we were ill-equipped to deal with an absolutely deadly and extremely motivated team who always beat us and never lose at Anfield. We should have conceded more on the balance of play but I don't even think we were that bad. If Jota doesn't go down it's not beyond the realms of possibility that their nerves kick in and we take it to the wire. It's like folks are desperate to hate again.
-
Absolute state of Klopp. Horrible bloke. Narcissist.
-
No real beef with anyone of a Newcastle persuasion tonight. We're broken, unfit and with our confidence on the floor. We got pummelled from the first minute to the last and yet we were in the game the entire time until the officials decided we shouldn't be. We were always losing that. If we can save the comparisons to Pardew until next week that would be mint.
