Someone with a mic literally in their nostrils during the presser. Great production values.
-
Now even more a like-for-like replacement for ASM.
-
What a piece of shit. Honestly, what a fucking state the Football League and National League is in terms of ownership. Cowboys all over the shop.
-
Ah yeah, Leeds (h) on NYE was the last one.
-
Think Brentford (a) back in April was the last one?

Doing the draw this weekend.

Aye it's not a straightforward debate like, as you say. If anything the Leeds ones just seem a bit too abundant (what is there, 17?) Kinda why I'm a bit "really?" at that Fender/Adidas one. Particularly seeing as it's ultimately commercially motivated; seems a bit unjustified. At least that Bielsa one is exclusively about celebrating someone who's positively impacted a community.
-
Mmyeah don't love that Fender thing, like. Weird mash-up of a local celeb and a global brand. Ultimately they've just turned a building into a billboard which seems unnecessary unless you're a local independent business trading during the Victorian era. I don't hate murals mind. How would folks feel about some NUFC ones around the town a la Leeds? I think the Bielsa one is brilliant; certainly the artwork itself anyway. If we were to win something I think it would potentially be pretty cool if done very well and ideally didn't have sponsors. For eg their Phillips one near the water has the SBOBET thing on his shirt (not in full but still visible).

Absolutely. It was a great insight into the training ground, that video. I love the way Howe sorta just owns the room in the snippet with him too. But yeah, Schar is the man. Due a goal, mind (in the right net). He was a 1 in 10-er before last season.

Sandro Tonali - Spurs have £80m bid rejected by NUFC (SSN)

I have complete faith in Howe to make the right calls in terms of getting the best out of him so if he plays against Burnley then fair enough. But if we're now in a position, squad availability-wise, to default to the 'ease him in' approach then that's definitely what we should do imo. He's had a baptism of fire and mostly struggled because he's been burdened with significant responsibility before he's had a chance to settle. Would be great if he had a chance to only enter the pitch as a sub for a few games. -
It's such a boost for the squad that those two can come in and put in a performance like that. We were all rightly concerned about the depth at centre-back but if that was anything to go by then there's no need for significant concern this season. We know Lascelles is capable but the lesser-spotted Dummett was an unknown quantity and in nobody's second teams at the beginning of the season. The lad is an absolute pro and suddenly it's as clear as day why Howe wanted him kept around.

Yes, he and Hall switched. There was a brief moment when Isak came wide when he was unmistakably in the CF position. Imagine if Murphy had knocked it across to him for that chance in the first half...

"Such a boring team" is an interesting one. Like us or loathe us I'd say that boring is the last thing we are these days. 31/34 games being televised this year would support that theory.
-
Surely this is just taking the opportunity for a bit of mind games?

Fixture wise I think it follows Wolves (a) and precedes Arsenal (h) and Dortmund (a). Man Utd have City immediately before.
-
It's just a fucker that it's away. I'd fancy us against absolutely anyone at SJP, even/especially Man Utd. Old Trafford has just been such a miserable trip for us in mine (and most people's) lifetime. Even over their sketchy last decade our results have been almost entirely shite there.
-
Chelsea (a) is my guess.
-
The goal was class btw. The directness and power was to die for. That first touch from Murphy was top notch. Joelinton is a fucking tank when he sets off with the ball.
-
Pope - 7. One big save. Livramento - 9. Exceptional. Lascelles - 8. Cap. Dummett - 8. Slide tackle. Targett- 8. Best in ages. Miley - 5. Young. Tonali - 6. Improved. Joelinton - 8. Big dog. (Bruno) - 8. Stardust. Murphy - 7. Trouble. Isak - 7. Clinical. Hall - 5. Academy. (Gordon) - 7. Aggressive.

Back to his best in the last two halves of football. Long may it continue.

Showed glimpses in that second half. He's been bad so far but he's bound to be good in the end. We'll have to be patient with him. -
He slide tackled the ball 60 yards upfield ffs.

What a fucking effort that was, man.
