  1. Fowler sniffing the line in response to Everton supporers berating him about alleged coke sniffing rumours Ian Wright`s celebration re-enacting the ref`s dive (Di Canio) Cantons`s smug celebration when he scored against Sunderland I like Batistuta`s machine gun celebration also Tim Cahills and Robbie Keane`s are just annoying
  2. they do it all the time in Spain and Latin America tbh. Do agree it`s a disgrace that Smith was booed mind

The news paper reports that the two sides came to a 2.2 million euros transfer fee agreement on Thursday night (8/7/08).
  6. Nobby and Dabizas back together! strange how there`s no mention on their official site. Is it definite? I`m a bit surprised other London based teams in the Championship didnt try for him(at least not many rumours)
  7. nice one. I have a Boca Juniors shirt signed by Nobby
  8. moved to 5pm so might bugger up alot of poeples travel plans if they don`t live in NCL and have booked train tickets already
  9. James Is A Real 'Gem' Says Kev By Craig Hope KEVIN Keegan has described Newcastle United star James Milner as a "gem of a player" and believes that the very best of the young winger is still to come. The 22-year-old was used as a centre-forward by KK during Wednesday night's 2-2 draw with Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven. And the England under-21 man was in the thick of the action throughout the 90 minutes as his tireless running helped to create a string of openings for the hosts. Indeed, it was his clever reverse pass which set up Danny Guthrie for United's second after just eight minutes. "He made the goal very cleverly for Danny Guthrie," Toon chief Keegan told nufcTV after the full-time whistle. "Sometimes people say that his delivery lets him down but against PSV it was top class. "He's played up front but he could play anywhere, if you asked him to play full-back he could. "He's worked extremely well and has never stopped running." And, with Milner not due to turn 23 until next year, the Newcastle boss firmly believes that we're yet to see the very best of the former Leeds United starlet. "He's a gem of a player," added Keegan. "Everyone at the club loves him. He works hard in training and wants to improve himself. "And I really think we are yet to see the very best of James Milner and that could be very exciting."
  10. I read Coloccini was actually called up for the Olympics but Depor blocked him from going for the same reasons Real did with Robinho and Heinze etc. Worked out well for us
  11. been past it for years tbh true, but I'd still take a punt on a low wage for a 1 year deal. i think we have enough CB's and defenders for that matter, get the playmaker in, tht signing will be the catalyst for the rest of the team I remember he played defence and on occasions defensive midfield for Bayern but that was when he was good. Dont think he`s worth getting now anyway
  12. Sevilla signed Aldo Duscher for only 3m euros (+1m future bonuses depending on titles etc) whch was his buyout clause........played well for Racing Santander last season. Had him on trial last season iirc Might have been useful for us as a defensive midfielder especially at that price
  13. knowing our luck they`ll come back injured
  14. well it might not be long before he`s warming the bench. Real didnt really need him even with Sneijders injury After he`ll be competing with Sneijder, Guti, De La Red, Robinho, Robben, Higuain for the same positions
  15. Van Der Vaart`s wife (blonde) is a milf btw just read they might have got him for only 9m euros http://www.defensacentral.com//images/get/4016/455-285/C/fotos
  16. don`t know how they got him for such a low price too. 13m euros is a bargain in todays market for a player of his quality
  17. snatch their hands off! Pity its the star though Everton are sizing up a cut-price £1.5m deal for Newcastle midfielder Alan Smith. (Daily Star)
  18. Shearer was shorter than that tbf. Same apparently. Both 6'0 ft. Shearer was obviously one of the best headers of the ball ever. However even he would struggle against some CB's. My point being its different when your a CB. Have you ever seen Coloccini play? Ive watched a fair bit of la liga in recent seasons and seen Colo on a fair few occasions. One of his main strengths actully seemed to be his heading/aerial ability despite what some of you deem 6ft to be a short arse I guess some of you might be worried he`s crap because theres few if no compilations on youtube

    How many

Sorin is far too injury prone. Would be very happy if we could sigh Benayoun but he seems happy to stay at Liverpool despite being a benchwarmer for them
  20. don`t know why a bigger club hasn`t tried to come in for him.....very good steady defender. Their winger Edison Mendez is very good too.
  21. I think he might have been mentioned here http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=54381.0
  22. For anyone that wants to read the full article (not much else other than the quotes though) http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-utd/2008/08/03/coloccini-i-ll-be-a-toon-hit-79310-21455816/
  23. Coloccini - I will be Toon hit Depor defender expects to complete Newcastle move Newcastle target Fabricio Coloccini is eager to make his mark in the Premier League. The Deportivo La Coruna defender is on course to secure a summer switch to St James' Park, with a deal expected to be completed in the next few days. Kevin Keegan has been eager to strengthen his defence ahead of the coming season, with Coliccini fitting the bill. And the Argentina international has claimed that he will have no trouble settling into the hectic pace of the game in England. No fear He told The People: "I don't fear the Premier League. "I love it and I watch it a lot. I will be a big hit. "I am confident a move will go through." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_3905169,00.html
  24. Did Basedas (sp?) aka the Steering Wheel ever get a game for the Argetina National side? 22 full caps and i think that doesnt include the games he played for Argentina in the Olympics in 96 (dont count I believe)
