  1. Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton admits he's seeking a new left-back. Hughton hopes to add to his squad in the final days of the market. He said: "There are still a couple of days to go, but if I was left with the squad I’ve got now, I would be happy. We’re most definitely still looking at left-back, but James Perch can play at left-back as well. “It’s perhaps not naturally left-footed cover, but we certainly have cover there."
  2. Cleverley linked with Bolton again this morning despite Fergie saying he's staying at Man U a while back

  4. asked about him on a Dutch forum......as to if he"s any good etc To answer your question: he's a brilliant player. Extremely physically strong and remarkably technically gifted for a man with the build of a wrestler. He's only got one problem: discipline. He's always got a moment in a game where he loses it. Definitely good enough for the premiership though. Fer is actually a potential candidate for replacing Tiote at Twente! Mind you Feyenoord are in dire financial straits, Twente is not. Twente can afford to hold out for a good offer for Tiote, Feyenoord probably can't for Fer. You can't really compare Fer and Tiote mind. Tiote is more of a physical midfielder, Fer is more the creative goalscoring type.
  5. Aquilani to Juve (rumoured) on loan according to Hodgson http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/aqua-set-for-italian-loan?
  6. Nowt bent about that Boateng transfer at all. Bloody Italians. Preziosi explains Boateng transfer http://www.football-italia.net/aug17q.html
  7. remember D`allesandro? Watched him recently playing for a Brazilian team in the Copa Libetadores (which they won)...totally schooled the opposition. Probably not realistic though as he`s one of their top performers by all accounts.
  8. Nacho Gonzalez, Hugo Viana? Hleb? if he`s still out in the wilderness on deadline day with nowhere else to go but Barca B? might have a chance but....anyway , would love to see us try for Eduardo Salvio from Atletico Madrid. Rumored to possibly be on his way to Fiorentina on loan though....been impressed whenever I`ve seen him play.
  9. I know it`s a bit late but just saw Raul`s 2 goals on his debut against Bayern a week or 2 ago. The 2nd was a classic Raul chip over the keeper. Canny....
  10. Paul Schaner still on a free transfer ...as is Ilan.... Is O'Hara getting a look in at Spurs? Maybe a loan deal if not?

  12. if it`s already been posted please delete http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD_4kW0_d7o
  13. Birmingham rumoured to be in talks with Matt Derbyshire on loan from Olympiakos....would have him here esp on loan
  14. Acuna was very underrated. Totally agree with that Mick - never understood why he was sold, played out of his skin against the Arsenal midfield in one game I remember. vaguely remember it being something to do with being closer to his family. Agreed though. Acuna was a cracking signing at only 700k.........came from the Chilean league and did a very good job here. http://i33.tinypic.com/2v0hlxi.jpg
  15. Scharner still with no club with the season almost about to start?
  16. 100 fkin+ pages based on speculation
  17. Permanent. for 6m quid no thanks.Of course the overinflated price is probably related to his nationality but Mancienne didn`t impress too much while he was at Wolves on loan. .
  18. by all accounts he`s had a history of disciplinary/attitude problems etc.....seems to be a common thing with French wingers.
  19. I normally play the Yahoo Fantasy leagues as they have the Italian/Spanish and Premier Leagues. If anyone is interested in wasting more time on another fantasy league feel free to do so. If not, ah who cares ID: 7565 Pass: football http://uk.premiership.fantasysports.yahoo.com/football
  20. The Parma president has said they will bid for him if their move for Giovinco doesn`t go through
  21. maybe metioned earlier but anyway.....Taraabt has joined QPR on a 3 year deal with them. http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail...110794,00.html 600k apparently is the fee. Rising to 1m depending on his performances remember reading on here quite a few fans wanting us to try for him....
  22. 10th - NEWCASTLE UNITED (Last season: Championship winners) There always seems to be one promoted team that does well, and this season Newcastle are favourites to be that team. Mike Ashley might still be at the club, but the stability at St James' is in marked contrast to their chaotic relegation season. Chris Hughton has made few additions to his promotion side, nabbing Dan Gosling off Everton and signing Sol Campbell and James Perch. 'Fat belly' Campbell's lack of fitness could present a problem early on, as Steven Taylor has been ruled out for three months. Newcastle have been rewarded for keeping their squad together in the second tier and possess plenty of quality from the likes of Kevin Nolan, Jonas Gutierrez and Andy Carroll. They should have no trouble avoiding the drop and may even sneak into the top half. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/world-cup/armchair-pundit/article/7968/
  23. As I said before, is there any mention why his move to Cagliari fell through? Can't find anything. I asked about this rumour on a Uruguayan footie forum and they said it`s between us and Olympiakos. The above posted site is supposedly a fairly reliable one too.
  24. who should be ours? Barton has said Lovenkrands is our best penalty taker..... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2010/08/04/joey-barton-dedicates-trophy-to-travelling-fans-72703-26993830/
