  1. It's brilliant that we're signing for the future, but it's not going to help our first team now. We need someone short-term to give us a lift going into close season.
  2. A winning team is a happy team. [shitpost\]
  3. We've signed Henzel and Gretel...That sums it up basically.
  4. I'm with you on that Dave. We need a lift. One goodish player would be nice.
  5. These are the new prices for players in demand. It ain't 1995 anymore. More clubs have more money and the market reflects that. If we don't start to get into the game of getting some of these types of players starting with the summer we will fall further behind.
  6. ahem .......... this is the ENTIRE point What is the point? That we aren't buying players now? If we bring in your ten superstars in summer will you stop bitching? We didn't even buy one superstar LAST summer Keef. Allardyce got the players he wanted, for the most part, imo. If we didn't bring in the right players, it was down to him. He had very little money and a very ropey squad to patch up first ie the defence. When he went back to the cash machine his card got rejected.
  7. No new faxes will be purchased in this window Dave.

  9. Quite a dumbass thing to say really. We'll see what he says when we're 4/5th bottom.
  10. It's easier to single out def (names vary from game to game) than face the fact that practically the whole side needs an overhaul. Board ain't spending either.
  11. Agree. Good player and Harry has made a good profit.
  12. Fair play, Eastern Europeans usually have a good work rate and tend to put a decent shift in. We've signed a couple of them now so it's up to us to knock that out of them. Gretel wasn't available for comment.
  13. Surely not for the 4m quoted in the papers? Roy Keane is looking more and more like souness as the days pass. ...they might be above us in the league in the coming weeks fella.
  14. There isn't time remember. KK has to vet all players individually which will take the best part of the next decade. We don't need to be rash etc..yada yada.. lol
  15. Looks good from what we can read there. Nay worries.
  16. What's with this getting to hand pick which games are counted and which games aren't? :frantic:OMFG!!!!! If you take out all our wins and draws we are on 0 points!!!!!!!!!! We are doomed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :frantic: The facts are that the current team have 27 points from 23 games. On that form we should be safe. Or is Keegan a worse manager than Big Sam? A quick check of the fixtures should blunt thine sarcasm.
  17. Some fair points. Hamburg still love KK that's for sure. The £100m over two windows is obviously a rough figure, but it is going to take something like that to get sides to fear us once again. I had just convinced myself that KK was a step in the right direction but must admit the Wise thing has thrown me.
  18. Jeff Vetere: JEFF'S IN NO RUSH TO MAKE HIS MOVE The FA CUP e-on VIEW FROM THE BOTTOM Andy Burgess 28/01/2008 Not many - in fact none - of my youth team colleagues went on to bigger and better things after Rushden. And there are only three of us playing football on a full-time basis. However, our manager from that time, Jeff Vetere, has gone from strength to strength. And he is now being linked with a move to the Premier League, but has to decide whether to swap Real Madrid for Kevin Keegan's Newcastle revolution. Advertisement Jeff was at Rushden for three years as youth team manager before an opportunity came up to go and work with Alan Curbishley at Charlton, which he took. I'm not surprised he's ended up at Real Madrid because the guy is a walking encyclopedia of footballing knowledge. Mention the name of any footballer in the world and he will tell you who he has played for, how many goals he has scored and even what size boots he wears! Good luck to him in the future. On the subject of moving clubs, I have being reading Stuart Fleetwood's comments regarding his proposed switch to Crewe, which he has turned down. And I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by what he had to say. Striker Fleetwood has come out and said: "I feel I owe Forest Green a bit more because they took a gamble on me." So fair play to the lad, it would have been easy to walk away at the first possible opportunity. But he has stayed and proved that loyalty does still exist in football. Either that, or someone has had a word in his ear and told him to sit tight until the end of the season, but I'm sure that is not the case. Looks like a good advisor.
  19. Wasn't Mort recently quoted (a few weeks back) as saying he wants to spend as money comes in? Not heard this to be fair, my sig was a quote from keegan which would undermine that view. I also imiagine they want to keep there kitty quiet so prices dont rise. Tbf SA gave the same impression, granted KK might have more pull in the boardroom.
  20. that bloke is one of ashley's informal "advisors" apparently. used to be a coach at rushden before going on to work at charlton. some say along with Jimenez, he is behind bringing Wise to the club and some journalist on a blackburn forum thinks they are having some sort of input into scouting and transfers. God help us. What do you reckon is actually going on?
