At last a chance to sign the most boring player on the planet.
-
Reading through this thread I ask myself...Where is the love?

Torres by a mile.

41pts (Moved up a few places). Up to 59th from 101. Arteta and Bianchi doing the business. This gameweek is a headache with all the big teams playing each other. Out Ronaldo and Kranjcar In Gerrard Bentley. Probably have to play 3-5-2 Bianchi and Pizzaro up front neither will score this week, but will cost to change. Might gamble -4 in getting Martins in as we have another easy game away to Boro next. **Looking to Elano in at some point when the ManC fixtures change for the better. Garrido the ManC left back has been my secret weapon so far 11pts from 2 games. Have taken him out as sure ManU will score after 2 dissapointing opening games.

I agree, win them all comfortably imo And Man U would beat Reading comfortably Nothing is certain in the Premiership. Reading are actually one of the better examples of what I like to see. Never looked beaten althogh they were clearly suffering on the pitch.

Sam certainly will be talking more like me than GR ever used to. He is a big believer in the postive mindset and good preperation. When matches are close it is often the little things like analysing the opp or telling a player the good things he does rather than the mistake he made last week that starts to count. Man management isn't about carrying a big bag of worries and apprehensions around with you, waiting for the game to jump up and bite you in the ass, it is about each player understanding thier role and the having a good overview of what will happen in the game. Let the opposition do the worrying and get on with our own game in a positive spirit and try and make things happen that have been planned in training. Every game is there to be won not lost.

We'll win all of those.

Well "Scotenglheesh" is a foreign language.

I definitely expect a natural RB to come in. Perhaps a more attack minded RB, with Faye playing there when we feel a more physical approach is needed against the better teams away from home. Would make sense, if he can play RB at all that is. Also can back up Butt as DM and provide another alternate to Ramage (no offence if you're reading, Pete) at CB. Given his versatility and how upset the Bolton fans are I'm quite liking this signing. I hope he's the last of the worker bees we sign this season.

This Good player Belletti.

4th to 6th tends to be interchangeable, only takes a few points either way. This is the phase where my biggest critics (challenge for 4th thread) start to turn...NOt cause they worked summat out...No cause SAF made a comment. *Not directed at anyone in particular.

...and Yobo 4. But I lost 8 in the transfer merry-go-round.

They lack creativity all over the park. They have 7 defenders out atm. The strikers are all too similar to each other and they don't complement one another. Jol is in trouble cause this was the ment to be the breakthrough season. Everton just looked streets ahead.
-
They are that bad even Derby have a shout I reckon.
-
For a side with a million midfielders they don't seem to actually have any on the park.

Seriously what exactly was Spurs gameplan tonight? I saw nothing but left footers on the right, strikers in midfield, Jenas wandering...Bent invisible...Nothing happening wide and no compressing play in the middle. It was like they had never played Everton before. I reckon Jol gone by x mas if this goes on.
-
Spurs really are a disgrace. Utterly clueless. Jol is walking a tightrope.
-
They just can't compete....There seems to be no Spurs midfield. How bad is Zakora?? Arteta running the show.
-
And moi. Basically Arteta is undroppable from FPL sides.
-
To be fair the visiting Spurs fans have provoked a lot of the ridicule that has/will come their way, this began as a sensible thread discussing two potential rivals of ours. I think their pre-match comments have made a lot of people go for Everton, espescially when contrasted with the pre-match comments of our resident Everton poster who was a lot more modest and didn't enter the thread with a defensive attitude. Jol clueless.
-
Good point they will regret just missing the CL recently. I have said it all summer but Jol will get found out this year.

Joe Lewis is a billionaire. Clubs below us have spent big this season, but so have we - more than Man City IIRC. People keep on saying we 'blew our budget' on Bent, but I don't think that's the case. Yesterday news came through that we've submitted a planning application for 'the development of a world class Academy and First Team Training Centre', which I'd guess will cost a few bob. I'm sure the funds are available to strengthen further, it just seems as if the management have failed to notice that gaping hole on the left of midfield and problems in defence. Even so, it makes our strategy of investing so heavily in youth all the more commendable/sensible. Boateng, who was probably one of the best players in the Germany, and certainly the best prospect there, could prove a snip at £5m - he's ready to make an impact in the first team now, but if he develops and fulfills even half his potential in 2 or 3 years time, along with Taarabt, Bale, Kaboul and Lennon, we could even be challenging for the top spots. Even Bent is only 23, the average age of our squad. We certainly look in a much healthier position than NUFC in the long term - most of your new signings should only last a season or two max, and your future lies in the hands of Edgar, Huntington and Ramage. It's a pity you don't play with a top notch creative mf anymore (in the Spurs tradition) like Hoddle or Ardiles etc. With the forwards you have (a very good bunch) you could really hurt teams. The left side is a mystery to me.
