  1. I've already done it for him. What was his name before? Woodgate27, Bellamy10 and Sibierski20 on Toontastic. He's now Duff11 - my choice. I see what you're doing there... :parky:

CM/LM/LWB high tempo, dynamic/high workrate, good passer, comfortable on the ball and the occassional freekick. If Hearts don't take up the buyout from the loan we will buy him. IMO he is a more effective player than Parker. He's two footed for a start. Sam has a file on him since Bolton first tried to buy him a year ago. Allardyce player, on the few clips I've seen looks committed and engaged. I'd take him anyway. Boateng (CM/ACM/DCM) is in a similar mould but I'd say from what I've read and the one AIK game I watched a better tackler with a good first touch and solid short range passing. Not as gifted as Kingston. Boateng was more highly rated than Essien in their U17 days, but lost his way a little. Easily worth £1m or even £2m - again a no brainer for me. Interstingly for a player that can play 2nd striker has shown he is clever enough to play an allrounf mf role. Two highly dynamic African players that are in the Allardyce mould and IMO both can bring something to our club. Budget versions of the Essien/Mikel combo.
  4. Agree totally. If this lot comes off then we have made one big corrective step forward.

  7. denial of what? now you've explained what you literally wrote is what you literally mean, rather than how 95% would have interpreted it, then I am in full agreement Crazy concept I know. Lighten up man will you? Winged monkeys recalled?

so what was your point then? What was your point? When you denied wanting to stick with him? we've established that why ask a question with a question? The reason I answered a question with a question is because you asked it and it's your speciality. Although it's normally several questions. It was a pastiche, if you like. Winged monkey squadron on full alert....Prey in sight. mackems.gif

Kind of a contradiction that he was wanted Allardyce out as soon as he was appointed though isn't it? I never wanted Allardyce at all And now it looks like we have a new owner, him getting sacked now is not a complete impossibility hardly fucking crazy talk tbh Vic/Stevie/Porridge in all sorts of bother, wriggling and firing up his full defence grid.

I watched one of his games for AIK last night and yes was very impressed how he spread play/his first touch and general dynamism. Better passer than Parker easily. Looks like one of those players who just made one or two bad career moves and got a big sidetracked psychologically. Plenty of potential there for sure. Reg link you'll have to check with Aphrodite.

We couldn't really afford to spend that sort of money on those players but I agree with your general point. I am a little worried that those who have actually seen him play think he wont make it though. I've seen him play recently for Ghana, and I am not surprised Sam is interested. He has been really good of late and seems to be back on the up. All those who think he won't make it saw him at Sweden, where he probably wasn't as motivated. He had just excelled at the under 20 championships and was voted Ghana's most promising player ahead of the Essiens and Appiahs and he was also brilliant for Panathanikos in the champions league but somehow ended up in Sweden (probably due to a dodgy agent). He is a good player, and at the very worst will be a solid squad player. At the very best he has the potential to be up there with Essien. I feel optimistic because he will be working with Big Sam as well so it is more likely he will play at his peak rather than underachieve. More or less my outlook on the player. He hasn't really been tested at the highest level, but Ghanian and Nigerian players have plenty of fight in them. I defer to Sam'd judgement, won't be an impulse buy that's for sure. Deal is close.
  13. Cristiano single handedly won Manu the title that much is clear.
  14. They're not crap by any stretch of the imagination. I'm going with Sam's judgement on these two, Kingston especially from what I've heard 2nd hand is a bit tasty. Parky I was wondering though ... do you think Boateng is being monitored as an alternative to Kingston or do you think Sam wants both? I cannot believe Hearts have an agreement to take up the option on Kingston for £500,00 and they haven't done so. Just over a week to go and we will have a chance at him. No idea unfortunately. I have a feeling we would have signed sounded out Kingston untill the Ashley thing changed the whole ball game. A new Alan Oliver in training You love me.

    Makelele anyone?

    We can do better now.

I have a feeling we would have signed sounded out Kingston untill the Ashley thing changed the whole ball game. What? I was really looking forward to some classic Sam signings. players who would definitely be taking a steop up by coming here, and hopefully doing very well. I had high hopes for Kingston. That really sucks! I hope your not saying Sam's got 'stars' in his eyes. Is he now after bigger names, or has the Ashley thing just slowed everything down. The media are fanning up a whole host of flames reg Beckham (cobblers) Crouch (not even leaving Liverpool by all accounts) and even Reo-Cocker who is clearly going to Arsenal, because there is still a lag in the system and they haven't come to terms with Sam/Newcastle and the fact he is very diligent regarding researching players. Hence Kingston and Boateng aren't names the red tops want to attach to us. Although regarding Kingston ( I mentioned him to a few on here two weeks ago iirc) began to appear as a definite possibility ( and I think he still is) as someone who Sam has been tracking from his Bolton days. Sam will sign one or two hard working and high tempo African players and he also likes a bargain, these two fit the frame. I know very little about them, but you can bet Sam knows as much as he needs to know. On the last point he probably is looking for a big marquee player as the whole ballgame has changed over the last week, but that doesn't mean he will turn down Sammy style bargains.

I think it's too early to tell. He has the tools to do it and I wouldn't want to say categorically he can't. Take your point though fella as always.

Apologies for the dig in the article....What I meant was Parker is totally unsuited to your club as he is ours.

  21. the sad thing is you honestly believe fat sam is the only bloke with this approach He is, unless you can name me another manager who has installed such a comprehensive and varied backroom team? ah right, he is, unless I can prove otherwise? good one Well come on then, lets see those other clubs with such a set-up. Arsenal Milan Barcelona Ajax Just four off the top like. Clubs we aspire to... Hence Big Sam's appointment and the need for these changes. Agree with that totally and it won't take as long as people think once we get the right habits. Probably add Spurs to that list.
