Again I'll ask, why would they look at us and think it a good career move? Especially now the big pay day carrot has been removed. Gomis wasn't a French international when we first showed our interest, and he's done nothing of worth in his competitive appearances. Playing in the best league in the world and increased paychecks is sure to be a draw. Turan will have caught a few eyes in this tournament and will be very difficult for us to land, but it's a big fee being branded for him that perhaps might scare off a few of our competitors.

I'm so sick of managers that can't ever seem to accept that they've failed. Roeder came out and said that no one could've done it better than him, Sounness too was blaming circumstances and now Fat Sam. While I agree with Dave that I don't think we'd have been relegated, how he not can stand up and take the blame for the utter shite he served us is beyond me. He was, after all, the only manager who managed to lose to Derby this season.

Would absolutely love it if we could sign Arshavin and Turan, they would improve us massively and give us plenty of options in the middle, as they are both versatile. A midfield three of Arshavin, Turan and Butt (or preferably a new better player, but I'm not going to be greedy) with Owen, Martins and a new targetman in front of them and things would look very, very good.
