I don't think Ashley would hold back, but I don't think we've identified anyone that's available at a good price, so instead of raising expectations (Shepherd was a master of just that, wasn't he?), he's just saying what is most likely.

He's not stood out in the Swedish League this season, and that's saying something as the Swedish league is SHITE. I've not watched his club too much this season, but from I've seen, I can't believe that he's even getting a shot here. Tbf, I think it's his agent trying to craft a move, as he's said he wants to play in a better league.

Don't really know what the good news are. Sure, we got rid of a terrible player who never plays, but, we still payed him the same amount as we would've if he was rotting in the reserves. The real benefactor of this must be Baba, as he can now bank our money plus being payed by a possible new club.

Reverse psychology? Not at all. I rate him more highly that Kuyt--Crouchy has a bit of class about him, even if he has the elegance of a drunken giraffe. It really helps who he has playing around him and they movement they make off the ball. He would have those same types of player here and sadly would be very exposed I think he plays well with Owen, not that you're having Crouch, like. That's lucky, because he's still shit. Plus, the Crouch-Torres partnership is the same as the Kuyt-Torres or the Babel-Torres partnership - Fernando makes anyone look twice the player they are. I mean, he makes Steven Gerrard look like a "brilliant" footballer for Liverpool, when anyone who's seen Ingerlund play knows that he's not that great...
