Funny thing is, when you started, you even quoted the original poster who in no fucking way slagged off the board. You just make yourself look like a one-hit-wonder. He'll definately stay for at least one more season (probably two or more). He won't be here all his life, so in that sense, we won't be able to keep our star striker.

Only striker I'd swap for Martins is Rooney. Both are young, talented and have to some extent proven themselves in England. Mind, Van Persie is that as well, but don't think he'd fit in our current squad.

That's great actually, most strikers are very easy to read, as you know they will always go right if right-footed and left if left-footed. With Martins, you never know.

For those who say that Owen/Martins won't work together... Martins has been banging goals in when he's played with both Dyer and Sibierski up front, i.e doesn't seem to have a problem adjusting his game Owen has been banging in goals throughout his career, no matter who he's played with. How unlucky would we be if it just happened that just these two won't match?

I think they showed at 3-0 down that us scoring the first goal over there won't kill the tie. They can beat us 3-1, they can beat us 2-0. Those 2 daft goals we conceded are killers. Just how was that two daft goals? First one was an excellent move and a brilliant finish from them, the second was just unlucky, Taylor clearly held his hand as close to his body as possible and can't be blamed for that penalty.

Both were immense, tbh. Duff showed some real quality there and great vision as well. Sibbers did the same, but in a more difficult situation.

Difficult stage to come on at, tbh. Bad substitution by Roeder, IMO, should have kept things the way they were, perhaps Emre on form Butt or Parker or Zoggy on for Duff, but never Milner for Sibbers. Sibbers and Martins were doing alright together upfront, IMO.

Not for 12.5m PLUS Emre. Hargreaves is a great player, not sure he's what we need though. Link, btw?
